Ordered in for New Years Eve. This was decent. We ordered the Pork Fried Rice; Chicken Chow Mein; Sweet & Sour Pork; Curried Breaded Chicken; Diced Chicken with Almond Chop Suey; 1/2 order of deep fried prawns and Honey Garlic Pork Ribs - Bone in. The only mistake we made was getting the Honey Garlic ribs with the bone - recommend you go without. Lots of Almonds in the Chop Suey. It was very good. No complaints really. Not quite outstanding, but overall very decent - nothing wrong at all.
Sorry, I don't see this as the next best thing. I went for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Usual fare - bacon, eggs, toast, coffee. It was OK, but frankly, I like Ricky's or White Spot better. I was not impressed that you have to pay for more than 2 cups of coffee. You get 1 refill then you have to pay.
This is a small restaurant right on Marine Drive. Excellent food, great service. Nice size, casual - go in your jeans. Four of us went a few weeks ago, we all had different entree's and all were just excellent.
Stopped by today for an early dinner. The restaurant is an older, small almost "hole in wall"-type. It is clean in side. I had the halibut & chips. Quite good really - better than the beach fare in White Rock, but I would say that Mr. Pickwick's and Al & Jan's in Surrey are better.
This restaurant was the former Codfathers. Al & Jan were the operators then, and they dropped the franchise and still run this excellent fish & chip shop. In my opinion, very close to the best fish and chips EVER!
