Great sushi and bbq
Submitted Monday, August 30, 2010 - 11:37am [Dine in]

I went to charcoal for dinner with my gf and had high hopes.
When we arrived we were seated at the bar because none of the tables were available and was told the wait would be long. A bit disheartening but nothing to get too down about.
We ordered the crunch roll, indian roll, charcoal roll, bbq beef and bbq chicken wings.
I have to say they were all very good with the exception of the wings which were alright.
The sushi is one of the better ones I've tasted so far.
Service was solid, our tea always got topped up when low.

Overall it was a good experience and fulfilled our sushi cravings.

Disappointing food
Submitted Monday, August 30, 2010 - 11:29am [Dine in]

My gf and I went to whitespot thinking it would be a safe choice for dinner since we have been to a different location for lunch and felt it was good.

I ordered the roast turkey dinner and she ordered the fajita salad. We were both very disappointed at the level of food. Let me start with my roast, the turkey was dry, gravy was very thick, the stuffing was soggy (i'm not sure if that is supposed to be normal here but where I come from it has a crisp outside) and overall the food was luke warm.
The fajita salad was flavourless, the taco was greasy and not edible and the salad consisted of romaine lettuce as far as we could see.

Overall the food could be compared to school/hospital canteen food infact we felt it was worse than that.
On the bright side the service was good but that is about as good as it gets in my opinion.
Definitely not returning here not for dinner at least.
