the cheesecakes are pretty good. i especially like the coffee chunk version, but others, like tiramisu, white chocolate berry, etc, are pretty yummy as well. they can be eaten in or taken out, and are very affordable.

green/black teas and milk teas are all good. i personally prefer smoothies, and as the previous review said, they do use real fruit in some of them. in my opinion, it is much more affordable than the juice place just around the corner. customers have the option of adding more or less sugar, which is awesome, as well as less ice, etc.

definitely the best place to get bubble tea in the UBC area.

Mui Garden Restaurant5960 Minoru Boulevard, Richmond
Best curry in town.

I've eaten in Mui many many times and I always order the beef brisket curry (fish curry is good as well), green beans with minced pork, and anything else that my friends and I feel like at the time. I have never been disappointed with the food. Besides being Chinese, I've grown up eating Chinese food and Mui definitely one of the top with its awesome curry among other things.

Prices are not cheap nor too expensive, and service is good for a typical Chinese restaurant.

My sister and i decided to try this place out after reading the good reviews and hearing it from one of her friends. We dropped by on a weekday just as it opened, so it didn't take long for us to be seated and to decide what to order. Our server was helpful when we asked him a recommendation for a "cocktail" we wanted to try. (more of a shake) When our cocktail came, we each took one sip and immediately wanted our main courses to arrive to help wash away the taste. Not at all tasty. When our food DID arrive, we gladly dug in while leaving the cocktail more than half full. Dessert was ok.

All in all, the food was decent, although not as flavorful as we would have liked. A bit expensive for what we got. Be careful about the drinks.

Pita Pit, The5717 Dalhousie Rd, Vancouver
For the hungry student

Conveniently located on the UBC campus, the Pita Pit caters to students like myself with its decent price and giant servings. The servers are friendly enough and willing to put extra toppings, if you ask nicely. I always get the Chicken, with all the vegetables and pineapples and I've never been disappointed! I always end up with a overflowing giant wrap which never takes more than around 5 minutes to be whipped up. The atmosphere isn't great, but everyone gets take out anyways. Nutritional info is also provided.
Overall, I would TOTALLY recommend this to everyone, starving student or not.
