Samurai Sushi7011 Nesters Road, Whistler
Terrible Service
Submitted Sunday, June 16, 2013 - 4:29pm [Dine in]

I have lived in Whistler for three and a half years and have always gone to Samurai Sushi for a decent priced meal. The food is not outstanding sushi compare to the ones you'll eat on Vancouver but its pretty decent, pricing isn't great but being in Whistler you find it somewhat affordable. I have worked for customer service industry for 10 years, and from what I recall and have been taught, customers should be treated the way you want to be treated. So today's service was very disappointing. I ordered my usual meal which came to $21.00 a bento box, tofu and a roll. I always pay by debit as I do not like carrying cash around. The pinpad at first was not working so they have reset it. And have tried my transaction again and it took so long. I get that, it happens. At the end it said it did not go thru and it said to check the ethernet cable. The lady behind the counter then said it is not working do you have cash? I said i only have $5. And then she said, there's a bank downstairs and i could withdraw money. Where is the "I am sorry for the inconvenience!" With her not apologizing, I then have told her, if i withdraw money it will cost me $4.00 and she then said I cant just give out free food. I get that but the fact she didnt apologize and have asked me to pay extra $4.00 in bank charge made me very angry. Hey lady, it doesnt hurt to say you're sorry, yes its not your fault t goes down but you work in a customer service industry where you always out your customer as your top priority! My decent priced meal is now overly priced!
