LOL at the Service!

I don't know where to begin with the service (or more appropriately LACK OF) There is one guy that looks completely lost and didn't do anything. I didn't even know he worked there until he slowly sauntered behind the counter, what a waste of wages. Then the other servers, if you can even call them that had to be constantly waved down to get orders, drinks, bill, ANYTHING and for your efforts they give you a dirty look like you offended them by asking for a water! We also had to wait for my friend's chicken rice which took so long we HAD to start eating our noodles or it was going to get cold and soggy.

Restaurant decor was bright and average enough.

All the dishes were of decent fare. Spicy Beef Noodles can be hit or miss, sometimes it's really spicy & tangy, other times it taste like boiled water. The appetizers are pretty good too.I was pretty darn thirsty afterwards though must be the MSG.

My judgement is based on comparison to other 24h places. I would NEVER go back for a regular dinner given the insanely bad service but for 2-3am afterparty munchies I'll be there!

Way beyond my expectations!

My friends told me to come to this place which they said was "the old Hooters" so I was expecting something of the like. Little did I know they completely revamped this place from the tacky white and orange Hooters to a super trendy looking lounge/restaurant! I was immediately impressed by the decor as soon as I walked in, from the bumpin' music to the big wooden sign at the front everything looked in harmony and very hip!

The place looked more like for drinks so my expectations for food weren't that high either, which was a great idea because I was totally blown away by their delicious dishes, the tiger mayo, the oyster motoyaki, thunder fries, deep fried chicken, it was all so good I ordered more even when all my buddies were already full and we had to pack it!

The servers were super friendly and not to mention hot & cute (I think I know why my friends were wanting to come back so desperately now!) The owner/manager guy even came up to chat with us, nice guy! I'm guessing he knows some of my friends since they come quite often. Also after reading some reviews here I need to clarify a fact. I don't know where these people source their stories from but I spoke with the staff and they swear that the operators of this place are authenticly Japanese. It's the same company as Kamei Royale which obviously is Japanese owned. (duh same owner)

DEFINITELY coming back, gonna make this my regular stop from now on and bring friends to party and eat!

Better than others

First of all I have to mention the food here isn't the best but considering the options around the area I would say it is definitely one of the better places to eat.

The sushi I had was decent, the basics, salmon, tuna, chop scallop, no complaints there. All the other appies I had were pretty good as well, the deep fried chicken, the assorted tempura and this special roll I forget the name of was very original!

Then I had a Katsu don .. which .. barely passes as a rice bowl .. it was more like pork congee the rice was super soggy from the excess sauce and the pork was tough.

Ambiance is nice to see all the people strolling around Metro while you have a quick bite. If I get hungry shopping around again I would come here. Fish on Rice looks hella dirty, probably get sick. I've also had bad service at Boston Pizza and Red Robins as well, go figure it's in a mall what would you expect.
