Walked out after an hour wait
Submitted Sunday, September 4, 2011 - 2:39pm [Dine in]

I'm sorry to write this review because on previous visits to this restaurant the service and food have been good.

We were seated after waiting 15 minutes and were asked right away if we want drinks. The 4 of us ordered coffee and one orange juice. We got our coffee in a reasonable time but no orange juice. We waited, and waited. After 3 cups of coffee and not seeing our waitress again, we asked the coffee girl to check on our orders.

A party of about 12 people came in and within 15 minutes were brought their food. We were still waiting. Still no waitress in sight. After waiting 50 to 60 minutes we decided to leave. Another table near us had complaints about the length of time it took to get their food and the length of time it took to pay.

Granted it was a long weekend and maybe they were short staffed but waiting an hour is not ok.

My friend did mention to the coffee girl, because we couldn't find out waitress, that we were leaving. She did say she mentioned to the waitress about the enquiry we had made. My friend did leave $5 to pay for the coffees.

Not sure if we will try this place again or not.

Has gone downhill!

Had the combo seafood and found the halibut overcooked and dry, there were only 2 prawns & 2 scallops with the combo. I would have expected more. The potatoe was too mushy, the rice was fine. The veggies of carrots & beans were very over done. It had excellent flavor but way overdone. The meal was quite cool.
The service was not very attentive. We had to ask for our coffee, ask for our dessert menu. I asked if there was agelomono soup, she never did let me know.
The prices are reasonable and the setting is very relaxing. Loved the view.
I would think twice about going here again.

It is a bit squishy when you walk in the door. We did have reservations (good idea) and our table was ready immediately. We did find it a little unusual to be seated beside another 4 people. Our service was excellent and food came in a reasable time. Loved the Garlic Butter Prawns. The portions are very large. The cost is comparable to other like restaurants. The salad that came with the meal was larger than expected. The other 3 people in my party also enjoyed their meals. We didn't stay for dessert or coffee as we were heading to a hockey game. The bill came quickly so we could leave in time to make the game.
Would definately go again. There is only one toilet each for men and women. You may have to wait a bit to get in.
