What are they thinking?

Going to an asian owned sandwhich shop always presents a challenge but with low prices and convenient location sometimes worth the gamble. Mt first visit was extremely dissapointing the sandwhich was made with stale dry bread, pre-sliced meat and bland veggies and cheap mayonaise. the soup tasted like thinned out canned soup with salt. The americano was bitter. Uck I couldnt finish the sandwhich, the soup or the coffee.
Six months later I tried to give them another chance and order just a sandwhich. The owner immediatly wrung it in the till, the cost totalled only $4.76 and took my bank card. He pointed at the sign at the terminal indicating an additional charge of 20 cents as the bill was under $5.00. I left and will not return. Unless they are laundering something, look for a for lease sign soon.

I've been stopping by for years usually after being out downtown late night but have recently going earlier as a friend moved to the area. Perhaps there's an ownership change or something but my last vist was not pleasant - poor attention from staff/owners, cutomer area messy and in dire need of cleaning and perhaps updating and less attention to detail on preparing of meals. Their poutine which was once awesome was served luke warm with not enough gravy so the cheese was not even melted. Too bad another Vancouver favourite falling down. I won't be back again.
