Chic New York Style Mediterranean Restaurant

There is so much that I like about Nuba... the trendy, urban styling, the cool groove music, the different configurations for seating, and eclectic mix of people, the soft lighting... the incredibly thin wait staff.

It's right at the corner of W. Hastings and Cambie, across from the War Memorial. As you sit at your table, you look up at the street as urbanites scurry by.

I had one of the best dishes of my life there... I always forget what it's called, but it is literally grilled cauliflower, with lemon and salt. Three ingredients for this incredible taste! I have never been disappointed, with the food, service or ambiance. I look forward to taking out of town friends there to impress them with how urbane and cool I am... :)

Tasty and consistently good

I always get the Chicken Schwarma plate, and it's tender and delicious. Love the sides as well: hummus, Taboli and a small salad. I go there almost every week, and have introduced many people to the restaurant and they've all loved it.

So, uh... let's see, I have to write 300 words. You order you food at the front counter, pay for it, and they make it in front of you. You sit at a table and eat it. When you are done, they come and get the plate from you or you can return it. All very casual and friendly.

Authentic Taste of Quebec
Submitted Wednesday, December 12, 2007 - 2:18pm [Dine in]

Yum! How I missed smoked meat, poutine and even a delicious BAG of dark, greasy, tasty French fries since moving from Quebec and Ottawa two years ago. Tasty and authentic... and a piece of the culinary puzzle that's been missing in Vancouver.

Bienvenue et Merci!
