Great Mongolian Grill, The22709 Lougheed Highway, #460, Maple Ridge
fresh delicious and fast asian food

The Great Mongolian Grill at Valley Fair Mall in Maple Ridge is a wonderful, unique dine-in and take-out place. My husband, son and I and have eaten Lunch here a few times, and the food is always delicious and expertly cooked. Lunch is served until 3PM and costs $8.49 for a pretty hefty meal; if you have a hollow leg there is all-you-can-eat Lunch for just $11.99. After 3 o'clock it's Dinner, for a few dollars more.
You go up to the counter and get your bowl, then proceed to fill it as full as you wish with your selections from a great variety of stir-fry ingredients. These include about two dozen kinds of fresh vegetables, as well as pork, chicken, beef, and numerous sauces such as ginger, garlic, teriyaki, hoisin, szechwan, sweet and sour, etc. Everyone heaps up their bowls to get as much as they can, which is fine as long as you eat it all! The meals also include rice and spring rolls.
I am impressed with the food every time we go here. The Mongolian Grill's been at Valley Fair for more than a year, I think. The restaurant is always busy and the food is consistently fresh. The owner keeps everything very clean, and he and his staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it whenever you crave a tasty yet inexpensive casual lunch in Maple Ridge.

I had the Spinach Salad, which comes with pecans, dried raisins, goat cheese and beets. This salad was scrumptious. And as a main course Pan Fried Oysters and Wok Broccolini, plus a side order of Fried Rice. All delicious, although the fried rice contained peas which seemed a bit over-cooked. My dessert was Warm Chocolate Nut Brownie with vanilla bean gelato. Oh, this dish was excellent; a chocolate lover's dream.
Our server was top-nothc. She was friendly and attentive, and never left us hanging.
The location of Cardero's is stunning and the restaurant decor is warm and comfortable.
Overall, I think this place is good value for the money and yes, I will go back here and also recommend to friends.
