Had a good time

2 people
Visit time: May-26-2012

Starters: Calamari, Nachos
Sandwiches: Chicken and Brie
Entree: Steak Frites
Drinks: a couple of pints

Food was pretty good. I hear some people complain about Calamari (too dry) but I guess we were lucky, they were not bad.

Other guests seem to like a lot their Garlic Mayo Fries but I'd found them just OK.

Steak was pretty good. I'd asked it to be well done and it wasn't dry.

I also can't complain about the size of the meal.

For Friday night the place was not too crowded (which I liked) but if it were I guess it would have been too noisy.

Overall value is average. Not sure whether I'll visit again. I guess I can find better value for the same money.

If you go to see their site don't be fooled by it...

Site: Reality:
- porcelain plate - colored paper plate
- stainless steel cutlery - plastic fork and knife
- GOURMET CREPES - loads of black pepper (I never heard of it in crepes)
- hip and modern atmosphere - it just stinks!

When you order you get a number which is piece of hand cut cardboard stuck into the bottom of a plastic cup. I mean don't you have a couple of dollars to by some normal number. Reservation sign was a disposable plastic bowl with a handwritten inscription "Reserved".

Well in a few words, I guess this place is for people who never been to Europe but want to feel European atmosphere. They may not want to visit Europe after this experience. Don't worry (and don't be fooled) - Europe is different.

Time visited: 10th-Dec-08. Went there for a business lunch. The first impression was not very good because of some unpleasant smell in the restaurant. Generally, the restaurant is not very cozy. Poor designe. I think the place was empty when we’ve arrived but the emptiness was not comfortable. I felt like we were lost in Atlantida with no one alive outside the place.
The food was so so. Chicken Souvlaki that I’ve ordered was a little bit burned on the outside but, thank god, was not dry inside. The food came fast after the order but the size of the meal was somewhat small compare to other places. Service was OK but nothing outstanding.
Don’t feel like coming back.

I've been to the place 2 times and figured I might as well leave my opinion about it. Generally I'm not too picky about food but I think I can tell the difference between good and not too good cooking. Anyway, one time I ordered something like steak with 3 sauces, second time it was Mediterranean grilled chicken. Both time the meet was burned and dry. Is it coincidence? I don’t remember anything special about the salads and snacks (which means they were probably not too bad) but I think the main course makes the meal (unless you just came to get drunk).
The place itself seems to be OK, waiters were friendly. In the end, to my regret, I have to say that decent service doesn't make for poor food. Would visit again only if nothing else is available.
