If you`re not in a hurry

I visit the Foundation regularly. In fact, it is one of my favorite places in Vancouver. As other reviewers have pointed out, the service is pretty slow and you often have to wait in line for a while before getting a table but that doesn`t really bother me. I love the food and love the prices. Try the Satay Salad, it`s completely addictive.

Exceeded my expectations
Submitted Tuesday, January 8, 2008 - 5:34pm [Dine in]

My company booked a small party at Nu. I didn`t know much about the place and didn`t have much in terms of expectations except I knew the food was pretty pricey. The decor wasn`t really my taste, too weird and retro but the food was absolutely delicious. I started with a goat cheese souffle, then had this amazing salmon with two kinds of sauces. I had chocolate tart for desert which was OK but a little too strong for my taste. If you can afford their prices, I would recommend you give them a try.

Good inexpensive place

I work close to Oscar`s and love to stop there for drinks and/or food after work from time to time. They have a pretty extensive menu as well as daily specials that are great value. The food is consistently well prepared, the portion size are generous and significantly cheaper than other establishments. Service can be on the slow side but at least they are friendly. I`d probably go more often if only they had decent specials on beer...
