Service is horrible. Food is nothing special
Submitted Sunday, April 8, 2012 - 4:21pm [Dine in]

Went with the family, and they were just cleaning up a table. As the waitress was wiping the table we indicated the seat was quite dirty and she used the same cloth to wipe it down leaving it wet. We had to ask her for napkins so we could wipe it dry to sit down.

Proceeded to order two #3's (beef and tendon pho) , one #13 (house special, pig feet w/ rice noodle). Even pointed to the items on the menu as the waiter looked and confirmed.

Another waitress came out with THREE #13's. We told her NO, we did not order all these, she again replied "Number 13??". She didn't understand English very well. Eventually we showed her what we ordered and she took the extra two back. However The #13 didn't have any pork! We called the same waitress over and she said they ran out and gave us beef instead. I told her, shouldn't you have told us before you gave it to us? She again repeated they substituted and walked away..

We also didn't get basil w/ our bean sprouts while everybody else did requiring us to ask the waitress three times for it, granted the place was very busy it should not be hard to mess up an order as simple as this.

Absolutely baffled by the service and left no tip, i will NOT give this place my business again and considered asking for the owner.

The food was nothing special, and I had visited this place several times before without such appalling service.

Food quality has gone DOWNHILL
Submitted Monday, January 18, 2010 - 1:15pm [Dine in]

I have eaten at Saffron several times, and this latest one was a nightmare. The "butter chicken" is tough overcooked diced chicken breast dunked in watery butter sauce. The rest of their curries are flavourless and watered down, the chicken is in no way marinated and in several pieces I took, were not cooked correctly.

At least the service is ok and relatively fast, and it gets busy at lunch hour... but I will not be going back to this place ever again.
