This is always a very crowded restaurant and they wont take reservation unless you are going after 10pm. So you have to be patient to wait outside, which normally will take at least half an hour. All the servers are so nice. Food is good but not too many options thou. Not recommend for big party ^.^
The bacon asparagus roll and panfried bacon mushroom roll are so good. But the best part is the fried udon! Dont miss it. We didnt order any drink and the bill surprised us as it is only $24 per person that we are so full without any space left for dessert. And there is still full of people waiting when we left at 10pm.
4 of us went for dinner, 3 of them cancelled their main course! We have wings, satay and lettuce wrap as appetizer. The lettuce wrap is so salty but we still can eat with with lettuce wrapped. 3 of them ordered chicken and cant eat at all becos it was too salty. The manager came over (without a smile) and asked if we having any problem with the food. We told her the chicken was too salty. She never apologized and talked to us in a way that just like we are wrong to express our concern.
The interior is very well decorated. but u just cant go there for food.
The laksa is just sooo good that i have to return for it within a week! besides that, the sweet sour spare rib is very good too. Hoinan style chicken is also not bad. The pancake with curry dip is yummy too! Just the porton is a little small. Price-wise, it's not expensive. Only around $48 for the night for 3 of us. It is a small and cozy restaurant with plain decoration. Good for a causal dinner after shopping.
A 3-course dinner for 2 for only $100! The baguette is yummy. Oyster and ahi tuna as appetizer, these 2 are only ok, but the main courses are so good, grilled sablefish and duck breast!! new york cheese cake is light, which suits my taste
the waitress is so smart, know when to show up and what to serve! the view is so good, facing canada place and the inner harbor, so nice ^.^
I had my filet mignon, which is not as good as I expected. It was abit salty and not strong beef taste. But the porterhouse steak is just fabulous! It tastes so good, juicy, tasty!! It is so big that a 6ft 200lbs guy can just finish it. The lamb is sooo good too.
The restanrant is good for fine dining as its decor is so elegant, spacious, servants are friendly and has a sense of humor that he wanna offer us "steak" desert. The berry cheesecake is so nice but 1 desert is more than enough for 3 of us as the cant-miss porterhouse steak is huge!
A steak dinner with sides for only $25, what are you asking for more? A friend ordered halibut and it was so good! One thing bare in mind is you must order their ceasar salad. It is fantastic! (but you need to cut the lettuce into smaller bites)
This restaurant is always crowded that I suggest to reserve a table before you go, esp on weekends. There are a lot of servants thou the service is just like a standard cactus club or mileston. They are friendly but you just dun feel that they are attentive. But with it's combination of food and price, I will be going back again.
This is a really good place to go! Though they dun offer too wide range of food.
Chicken kara-Age is so good and the baked eel riice too! If you come across its weekly special Pork Toro, this is a must order too! Price is so reasonably set and all the servants are sooo nice and efficient. One thing I feel a little bit strange is that all the servants will kneel down on floor to take your order. Maybe its Japanese culture. But certainly they are very nice with smile on face all the times.
This is a good place to go but not for a big party as I said, they have a fairly limited food options. But with a group of 1-6, you will love this place.
If you want a presentable sushi place in DT/ Yaletowm, this is one of your choice.
As of its name, this restaurant is very packed with too many tables that you hardly can walk thru. But the place is very clean, even you can see thru the curtain that the kitchen is so neat and clean. Background music is too loud, plus becos of its small size that you can easily hear the laughter from the other opposite corner of the restaurant. It is not a good place to chat, or you have to tune up your voice. (Imagine everyone is shouting to talk)
Food is ok. Sashimi is fresh. In terms of price, what you expect in Yaletown? Cali roll is about $4 and nigiri salmom ~$2. The Japanese Spagphetti with mushroom is good very veggie lover. It definitely taste more japanese than it looks. A trio creme brulee with matcha and green tea flavor is a good choice to finish up the dinner.
Originally thought it is a tourist place but it surprised me. It is a traditional chinese restaurant in DT (where you dun have many options)
Pricing is ok (in this area), $21 for a half peking duck, which is surprisigly ok quality. Fish fillet with corn sauce is quite good and cost $17. Everything else is like a so-so, not too good but not too bad. But is ok if you need to have a treat to your friends in DT, as the decor is presentable. But it is definitely not a good family dinner place for chinese food.
3 of us spent a Sunday dinner in this cozy Thai bistro. Duck green curry a so good as well as the pad thai noodle. Portion is a little small so we ordered 2 appetizer and 4 main dishes and it cost us $30 each (without drink) But it worth going again and is recommended.
The 2 servants are very nice too. Thou it is a little too busy for them to serve the whole restaurant. So you have to be patient to order and get water refilled.
This cake shop is the best in lower mainland so far!! It is beautifully decorated with full of chocalate smell when you enter the the shop. All the cakes and individual cake are very nicely made, i.e. outlook, coloring, decoration, etc.
Individual cakes price from $5.25 to $5.75, which is a little pricey compare with its portion (about 2.5"x2.5"). But it definitely worth the cost!
Chocolat Velouté is a MUST try!
The price is average, about $15 per person. Portion is quite big.
The spicy tuna sashimi is the best! The sauce is so yummy, a little sweet (not like some other places that only give you spice till you cant taste the sashimi)
Unagi sushi also good!
It's is graduation dinner with family of 5. As a hotel restaurant, it is definitely not up to class. It disappointed all of us when we would expect more to dine in Four Seasons Hotel.
The setting is ok, though it's a little small. The food is ok but not surprising at all. We spent $500 for a 2-hour dinner there. Each main course is around $32 in average, which is not bad. Portion is small but enough. But please dun order the duck breast nor the filet mignon. The duck is way too salty and the the filet is not good when compare with other steakhouse. For sure it is not a fulfilling evening.
I believe it would be better if you come in without any expectation of dining in a 5-star hotel.
Note: the hotel has valvet parking for $15. Though the restaurant will validate the parking voucher for you, if you are driving a manual car, dun risk to let them park. We got our clutch burnt!
Their portion is huge when compare with those sushi bistro around the area with similar price range. It's better to order ahead for take away as it's been so crowded all the times during dinner times.
The owners are so nice with smiles on face all the times.
It's been at lease once per week dinner place for me since I first came here a few months ago. Highly recommend!
Didnt wanna go in at first glance at the entrance since it looks like another food court counter around it. But the food is decent and the price is ok. Portion is quite big too.
Most surprising is the decoration is totally different from how it looks like at the entrance area. Quite nice environment.
