Pretty good place for appetizers
Submitted Thursday, January 29, 2009 - 4:03pm [Dine in]

We went for dinner on a Friday night.
Very busy but the servers were great.
Entrees were OK but the appetizers are better.
The atmosphere was modern and very yaletown
Pretty loud on the night we were there but not too bad
I would go back for appetizers and drinks.
Price is ok, but I think the food at Milestones or Joey's is better and better value too.

Not recommended - by a Korean person
Submitted Thursday, January 29, 2009 - 3:57pm [Dine in]

I am Korean and I took few of my non-Korean friends to this restaurant for dinner. I've been there few times before, and each time the food seems to get worse and worse.
The waitress was polite and soft-spoken and she tried best to help us.
We order variety of things - bbq, noodles, sushi, sashimi and grilled dishes. All the cooked food we got were COLD and sashimi we got was FROZEN....
My friends did not eat very much and asked if this was normal for Korean food.... Obviously, I was embarrased and complained to the staff... We returned several dishes back (which were barely touched) and the owner of the restaurant was pissed off at us!!! How rude!!! She basically argued that we were wrong and we should pay for all the food we sent back to the kitchen.
There are several good Korean restaurants in North Rd area - Insadon is one of them.
If you are a Korean, please don't take your non-Korean friends here.
If you are not Korean.. I think it's better to go elsewhere.
If you don't belive my review and still wish to venture into this place... all I gotta say is.. good luck!

Fun and unique

went there for a weekend lunch
waitors were friendly and it's fun to watch the kitchen staff working on the bottom level
food was fresh and the quantity was more than enough
waitors seem to be having a good time working there and all the other customers seem to be enjoying themselves
we had a great time w/ food & service overall
we would go back there for more

They served us beef that was gone bad.. which was obvious from the smell of it.
Some of the sushi rolls were old and dry.
Maybe a good place if you don't care about food quality or service.
The serving staff looked pretty angry when serving our food.. almost throwing the plates on the table.
I really do hope that they get better.. for their sake.

Never Going Back
Submitted Tuesday, July 11, 2006 - 4:37pm [Dine in]

Very disappointed with the service. We were sitting without our food for about 30 minutes and when asked for our food, the waitress looked puzzled and told us that food is ready. From this point we waited another 20 minutes to get our food.
This was very strange since the restaurant was only about half full on that particular evening.
Food is okay, nothing special. But the service really turned us off and we will never go again.
There are so many other indian restaurants that are better in town.
