Gotham Steakhouse & Cocktail Bar615 Seymour Street, Vancouver
Excellent Food Super Service
Submitted Monday, June 9, 2008 - 8:27pm [Dine in]

Gothams is one of the best steakhouses in Vancouver. I was greeted warmly by the hostess and seated promptly after indicating that I had a reservation. The service is excellent as it is considered a near fine dining class type of restaurant. I was introduced to some of the best wine paired with the appetizers and even had a nice introduction to the steaks. I decided on the Porterhouse as it was the largest steak being a super meat eater that I am. The porterhouse is a combination of tenderloin and ribeye steak.. It was great. The steak itself was a bit salty but it was quite good. Value wise, steaks are a bit pricey and side dishes are extra. Ambiance is excellent as well. Very nice.

Ninkazu Japanese Restaurant4231 Hazelbridge Way, #205, Richmond
Gorgeous & Sexy Simply The Best Of The Best All You Can Eat
Submitted Wednesday, April 23, 2008 - 6:45am [Dine in]

Ninkazu has got to be the best Japanese all you can eat restaurant. I think its even much better than the one in Vancouver. There is a service & attitude difference of heaven and hell between those two restaurants.

Ninkazu Richmond offers Hot Pot for dinner which is a big plus. The sushi and bbq are the food winners here. The service also takes it to the next level as the service staff here are more sincere. Much better trained staff here, unlike Tomokazu in Vancouver where the manager has attitude problems.

Some of the features that I love about this restaurant is that it has a very sexy look to it. If your lucky to get a window seat the view is spectacular. Not only the food is outstanding but the service is quite outstanding for an all you can eat Japanese Restaurant which I thought never really existed for an all you can eat Japanese Restaurant. The restrooms are even super clean.

I always order the cheap Zhujiang Chinese beer as it is only $2.50. I don't think you can find a good import beer anywhere else at that price although sometimes I still love to drink Japanese beer as it washes down the bbq foods so nicely. If I could rate this restaurant it would be 9.5 out of 10. If only they had more skewer type foods.

Tomokazu Japanese Restaurant1128 West Broadway, #201, Vancouver
Lovely Restaurant but has Attitute problems
Submitted Wednesday, April 23, 2008 - 6:19am [Dine in]

Tomokazu for sure has got to be one of the best restaurants all you can eat restaurants in Vancouver. The restaurant is located right next to the Toys R Us building on West Broadway. I have been coming here for 2 years and I love the Gyoza's here. Excellent value and very good food quality for the money which you are paying. The decor of this restaurant is quite nice providing a comfortable atomosphere.

The downside to this place is the MANAGER HAS ATTITUDE PROBLEMS. He was yelling and he was impolite and he quoted me a very very long wait for a table. He said er.. maybe 40 to 50 minutes even though it didn't look that busy. I had the feeling he didn't want our group in the restaurant. Seriously where did they find this guy!!! He has his head so far up his so called hole. He is in the wrong line of work if you treat customers like that.

Anyways my friends went back the next day for lunch. Lunch was good as usual. Its super cheap.

Very Very Good

Generally not much to say about a coffee house as it competes with blenz coffee, waves coffee, starbucks coffee however, I would like to recommend the Iced Mocha that they serve. It runs quite smooth down your thoat. The other coffee is delicious especially the dark roast stuff. I would certainly recommend this coffee house to all others.

Not what it used to be
Submitted Wednesday, April 23, 2008 - 2:08am [Dine in]

I was in the restaurant on the weekend. Surely this restaurant isn't what it used to be. The service clearly isn't there. I had to wait 15 minutes just to get my soft drink. I think they had forgotten about it. The staff is there for the sake of their job and certainly attitute wise they aren't enthusiastic to serve. The food is decent. The all you can eat menu is getting more and more expensive these days. Its not fine dining and I don't think I want to burn a hole in my wallet for all you can eat.
