I'll admit that I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to Japanese food having grown up with it all my life. Sushi Paradise knows its stuff when it comes to offering quality sushi at a fantastic price.
What I love about this place is its simplicity. Everything is always fresh and well presented. The service is super friendly and the restaurant is clean. The tables, chairs, and art make the place funky -- especially by New West standards.
I would recommend the Spicy Tuna Rolls, Tuna Tataki, and the Dragon Rolls. He also has very cool way of making his Tamago (egg).
The one thing I would suggest is that they change their green tea. For some reason, it tastes like it has a hint of coffee in it. I don't like it but I still drink three cups or more every visit.
And remember to always go with the Wild Salmon!
I've eaten at Hi Dozo at least a dozen times now. The food is tasty and well presented, the decor is good, the staff professional, and the prices are ok. The one big thing that turns me off completely is the smell. I don't know what they are cooking in there that makes this place smell the way it does. Maybe they need to wipe the walls or something...
