Old Spaghetti Factory4145 Village Green, Whistler
bad experience
Submitted Wednesday, February 25, 2009 - 12:02am [Dine in]

i've been to other old spaghetti factory in Canada in US.. but this one in whistler was the worst out of the worst.... it was absolutely disgusting
the spaghetti was cold, the serving was small and the mushroom tomato spaghetti's mushroom seemed like it came out of a can just dumped onto the plate. the whole dish was cold and it didn't have any taste to it. it was not salty and was watery too
the salad in the beginning was okay because it was just caesar salad, come on, how hard can it be
our server wasn't friendly and she seemed to be very impatient to my friend's ESL english.
i will never come here again

Sushi Town2773 Barnet Hwy, Coquitlam
okay sushi

the moment i walked into sushi town of coquitlam i knew it was going to be like the sushi california in lougheed and sushi garden of burnaby... this restaurant serves large portions of sushi at a cheap price but not exactly the freshest and best quality.
if you happen to go there, definately order awesome roll or double dragon roll
the tako yaki was AMAZING

i've only been to maji once and i know that i'd definately go again. when i walked into the restaurant the waitress and sushi bar chef were both very welcoming and loud (in a good way). it kind of reminded me of Guu in downtown. i got a lot of complimentary dishes for me to try. it was all free too! the food was amazing. i really liked ocean delight, which is this creamy cheesy deep fried imitated crab meat. that was sooo good. also be sure to try white bamboo, its tuna deepfried and raw on the inside with a sauce that was incredible. these two are both appetizers.
not only was the food incredible, the service was good too. the waitress came once in a while to take away dishes, to refill water/tea and asked if everything was okay.
they had this really interesting shout too.. although a small place with soft music, the people there made the restaurant very exciting

maji is really worth going for service that is great and sushi that is delicious at an inexpensive price. coquitlam Maji is comparable to the nice high end sushi restaurants in downtown vancouver. i recommend it strongly!
