I would definatly go back

Last week I posted a review on The Rugby club and how bad the service was on my boyfriends birthday last year. This year I decided to change it up and take 10 people to Joey's as I had heard alot about it and I was pleasently suprised.

The only thing I really had a problem with is that they don't take reservations, even for a big party. Is this all the time or just on weekends? I knew this going in as I had called ahead so most of us showed up about 45 minutes before we would really get hungry. From the minute we walked in the door they were very attentive, offering us seats at the bar and apologizing for the wait even though we weren't impatient.

I agree that it does take some time for food to show up, but for a party atmosphere it was just right and it gave us time to talk and sip our delicious drinks. In terms of apitizers I recommend the homous and pita (thoug the homous is slightly chunky), dry ribs or the artichoke and crab dip its the best stuff I ever tasted.

I was amazed that our waitresses would even pick up the glases to wipe up the wet spots on the table every 10 minutes or so, thats dedication to service.

For dinner my boyfriend had a steak and he said it was good, probably just under the Keg. I had the Evil Drunken Jungle salad and it was very good, but a warning they didnt tell me, it is fairly spicy, but with the huge chunks of mango it was a winner.

Then, and this is what I appriciated when I was arraning for a cake to come out for my boyfriends birthday they were very slick and came out with three or four waitresses singing "happy birthday" (something the Rugby club refused to do)

All in all I would come back again, and if you expect fast service come early in the evening as it is not their fault that it gets packed fast

I will never go to this restaurant again

Okay so this is a little late in the making but still valid. Last year for my boyfriends birthday on March 17th, I made a reservation for THIRTY people. Thats a huge amount of people to be serving. My boyfriend and I and a few friends got there at 7:15 and were sat in our little area. From then on every two minutes someone would come by and ask if everyone was coming. It was VERY rude, its not my fault that people showed up 15 minutes later. Then, while we were drinking and eating, one of the servers had the BALLS to come up to my boyfriend and suggest that he shouldnt drink anymore when he'd only had two drinks. There were THIRTY people there ordering drinks and they decide to be rude to the birthday boy? I was not impressed by the service or the attitude. The bill ended up being over a thousand dollars and they treated us like we were street people. Trying to complain to the manaager was like pulling teeth he didnt want to hear it. I definatly would recommend not going to this restaurant to eat if you want to have a good time
