A great surprise!

I'm writing this review after just coming out of Thai Yala for the first time. First of all, the green curry was exceptional. Second, the service was very quick and I liked the fact that the whole family contributed to it. Third, the value was fantastic. I will, without a doubt, be going back very soon. The only thing I would recommend is to wear a sweater as it was cold inside, but don't let it stop you from trying it!

I think the food is great value - probably depends on what you order. I've had the pad thai, the pumpkin curry combo and the swimming rama combo at different times. The combo is definitely where the value is at this restaurant.

They do sell themselves as a fast food Thai restaurant so if you're expecting a really nice sit-down dinner, you're not going to get it here. I took 2 of my friends here for dinner - we ate until we couldn't eat anymore and the total bill was $35.

My pad thai was vegetarian so I think the other reviewer on here got jipped.

The service was meh. Really nice, but not so great on the customer service. They gave us someone else's refilled teapot, which I thought was complimentary with the food, then they came and took it away after I poured myself a cup of tea. They refilled it and gave it to the other ladies. Yeah, not great.

Overall - would I go back? You betcha!

I have been to other locations of Thai House and really enjoyed the experience, but at this location the service was a let down.

I bought an Entertainment Guide book for a fundraiser - the stipulations were straight forward and I always double-check them before I head into a restaurant - they would not accept it because it was Easter Weekend. I let this one go and tried it again another night.

The other night my boyfriend and I went to eat a nice dinner out (no coupons this time!). They sat us down and then told us we could only have the table for an hour. I don't think so... It'd be fine if it was cheap, but you don't get out of this restaurant for under $50 a couple - I want to enjoy my food and not have a time limit. We left and went to the very fantastic restaurant down the road - Burgoo.

One thing... I have gone to the restaurant before these bad experiences and their food is high quality and fresh. Atmosphere is enjoyable.
