I have been there several times. Actually, I used to go there once a week; not because the place was amazing; just 'cause there was no other choices around.
Burgers are kind of expensive, and if the girls are grilling, they often overdo the patties and they tend to taste bitter. No, not the girls. They're kind of sweet.
Good try. The burgers of course. You be the judge.
I wanted goat curry, but they had run out of it. I had to settle for chicken which was served just warm. The server was friendly, but that does not make food taste any better.
The curry was not up to standard of most Jamaican restaurants. The worst part is that the prices are exorbitant. $12 for a small portion. I'm used to paying less than 10 bucks for large portions in places like commercial drive.
The verdict: not worth your time and money.
I wish there were other choices in Surrey.
How does an establishment like that remains open is beyond comprehension. Perhaps a lot of one-time customers from the hotel accross the street. It took forever for the food to arrive though there were only five to six tables being served. Desert menu itself took more than ten minutes to be delivered to the table. The waitress was bordering rude, and the coconut ice cream was definitely freezer burnt.
Vancouver is famous for its ethinic foods. Lots of very decent Thai eateries, so make an alternative choice when it comes to this one. Do NOT even try Sala Thai.
