This girl I just met told me that we should come check this place out, so we did. I'd told her I liked my food hot and this place was off the charts hot - they cook the food right in front of you and it comes steaming and fresh, which is amazing, and the cook was juggling his steak knife while making the food! It was like nothing I've ever seen.

The food itself was amazing. I ordered shrimp and steak - I can't remember what they called it on the menu - and ended up with a whole whack of other stuff besides. I don't remember the last time I gorged myself like that, but I just couldn't stop eating the food was so good. Place was pricey but given the quality of the food it's totally worth it.

I don't know what the place is like during the week but it's packed on a Friday night. We went in without a reservation and it took a while to get up there. I thought about leaving a couple of times but Miranda said it'd be worth the wait and it totally was. You end up waiting in a bar, though, so it's not like you're sitting or standing around to get taken into the actual restaurant and the service in the bar is awesome.

Upstairs, though, everything gets a little hectic. The food comes fast and furious, but it can be a little tricky to catch a waitress with all the stuff going on. Once I got one to come over the drink came pretty fast, but actually getting one was a trick. It might have been because we were on a back wall.

Over all, though? Awesome experience. I'm going to count my pennies and get back on here as soon as I can.

They're not kidding about the Hot.

I just started working at Metrotown a couple of weeks ago and I've been talking to some friends just made and they recommended hitting this place up for dinner after work. I'd never been but I'd mentioned my love of spicy food so the place seemed like a good spot to hit.

The first thing that hit me was the ambiance - they've got hot sauces everywhere and you can use pretty much anything they've got on display. Every hot sauce I've ever heard of was there and they're kind enough to mark the things on their menu that are really spicy.

I ordered some wings and the blackened chicken penne. The asked them to make the wings as hot as they could because at most places when you ask the hot wings to be hot they're only mild. They didn't spare the hot sauce here - these wings were off the charts spicy.

The pain was mostly gone when the penne arrived and that was spicy all over again, but nothing like those wings. My co-workers got a good chuckle, at least, but this place was amazing and I'm very much looking forward to going back.
