Gillnetter Pub, The1864 Argue St, Port Coquitlam
The Only Place in Port Coquitlam
Submitted Thursday, October 22, 2009 - 11:34pm [Dine in]

I eat lunch often at the Gillnetter Pub. I also watch sports afterwork. The food is higher end pub fare. Nobody is perfect but the food is consistantly good.
The service is a big thing at the Giilnetter. The entire staff is second to none. Professional service in a casual way which is fun to be around.
I find the food and drinks to be fairly price and the daily food specials are always well priced.
The ambiance is the best, possibly anywhere. Between the view of the river and the great service it's no reason we do not bother with other pubs in Port Coquitlam.

I'll Try Everything Once
Submitted Thursday, October 22, 2009 - 11:20pm [Dine in]

We have been driving by the Big City Cupcake since they opened and finally stopped tonight for a treat.
It was four o'clock in the afternoon on a Thursday, so I understand why the selection would not be at its optimum level. There was six flavours left to choose from.
The clerk was friendly and polite. The service beats the ambiance. The place is boring and plain. There are no ovens because the cupcakes are baked off site.
As far as value rating, there really isn't any value here. The cupcakes are average at best, the cake is firm and dry and the icing is far too sweet. The contract between the two spoiled the cupcake. The cost of the three cupcakes was $11.49. I expect much more from a four dollar cupcake.
