The cakes are to die for....
Submitted Friday, February 26, 2010 - 6:22pm [Dine in]

I ordered the Chocolate Carmel cake.. it is to die for! Layers of chocolate, mousse, raspberry, crispy bototm pleases the chocolate lovers palate. Small cake 6 inches = big price almost $30. The salesgirl was very helpful and explained because it's such a decadent cake, you only need a small piece and she was right because the 6inch cake fed about 9 people. This bakery is for special occasions only as everything in there was expensive... but ultimately worth the price for taste and quality.

Another Yaletown hot spot
Submitted Sunday, December 6, 2009 - 10:03pm [Dine in]

Some girlfriends and I went to Society for drinks and appys. This is a busy place so make reservations, which we did, but still had to wait over 1/2 hr. We went upstairs to the lounge area. Very small, too crowded, but the atmosphere was great.
Downstairs in the dining area, the decor was fabulous from the black cutout motif walls to the pink chandelairs. We ended up sharing appys including the margareta pizza, fries 3 ways, deep fried mac & Cheese balls, the portions were pretty generous and the pricing was pretty cheap since most appys range from $8 - $15. the overall taste of the food was pretty good but nothing amazing. The only set back was the waitress kept coming to our table and trying to clear the dishes and kick us out even though we weren't finished yet.
I will definately come back and try more dinner items.
