The Cat and Fiddle is known for it's wings and never disappoints. We go often on Mon and Wed nights for the 25 cent wing nights. We always end up ordering other food too and it is usually very good. They have many wing flavours with saucy or dry types.
My wife, son and I eat here approx 3 times per month. They have very good Pho and we love the lemon grass chicken too. The owner comes out from the back from time to time and is very friendly. Don't hesistate to try this place. It does get quite busy at lunch, so we go around 11:15am and are usually the first or second people in there.
We come here often to get samosas and other things to take home. We love to eat them but not fill our "gullet" as we hate having food stuck in our esophagus.
The although Indian sweets are not my favourite, the GULAB JAMUN are pretty good. Service is friendly. Students often stop in to pick up a samosa for the walk home from school for less tan a buck.
If you are wandering about the city, and looking for a good quick snack to fill your gullet, I strongly suggest you go here and get the Channa and Samosa deal. It's out of this world!! Cheap (4 or 5 dollars) and filling. Ask for it to be made extra hot, so they know your'e hip to the scene. The sweets are pretty decent as well, the wet tim bits (galub jamons) are the best.
Why do I come back??
OK why is this place still in business?? Really Why?
Lets see - I only went back because last time we went we got oil slimed zucchini. with no coating. I complainded and got some $20 coupon. Went back - not sure why. Ordered onion rings for $7. Got 7. That's a buck and onion ring. Umm Ok.
Ordered a 9 ounce glass of wine. They asked if I wanted another . I said yes but only a 6 oz. Got a 9 ounce anyway and got charged for it. Nice scam.
Pirate packs are less than spectaluar anymore.
I ordered some tandoori quinoa bowl.. SOunded WAY better than it was. .Was supposed to come with naan bread - did not come, Had to ask and wait while they cooked it - even though it was on the description. Was supposed to come with cilantro sour cream. I had to ask for it. I mentioned that it was on the description and i was a little aggravated because I had already had to ask for the naan and it was not treated like a very big deal. Waitress says "Ok so do you want the sour cream or the manager?" WTF?? I just wanted what I ordered and paid for. It was supposed to have sliced almonds. None. The whole thing was a very amature white curry deal that was not very good. Stick to deep fried crap and burgers
I really hate white spot. Do not waste your money. Go to a good restaurant - like Dennys or McDOnalds.
I went to Santa Rosa and was quite surprised to find that it is also a restaurant. I thought it was a tortilla making business only. To my surprise, they are a Mexican Restaurant too and from the looks of it, very popular with the business people in the area.
Great place for fresh, authentic Mexican food! Great tortillas!
One of my absolute favorite burger joints to frequent. A little burger is single patty and regular burger is double patty - can get cheese and bacon too. Choose from the array of fresh topping FREE.....including fried onions, sauteed mushrooms, bbq sauce, hot sauce, jalapenos, etc.
A regular fry is enough to feed 2-3 hungry people. I highly recommend the cajun fries too. A bit of spice to them and so so good.
Do your self a favour and try this place. Kudos to the filipino guy employee who is always super friendly and typically walks around to make sure everything is satisfactory.
My family has eaten here at least 40 times since they opened this location a year or so ago. I have only had one issue where my bun was really hard on one area (not sure if stale or from heat that it dried) and it appeared that it was picked at by someone to try to remove the dry area. I was quite disappointed but didn't bother bringing it back up as I am sure they would have made me a fresh one asap.
Where can you find a beefy filling sandwich for less than $5, very few places. Inno bakery sandwiches come in a variety of flavours: montreal smoked meat, turkey and chicken and others. Sink your chompers into one of their sandwiches that fills most appetites and it is especially nice when they are grilled. We go their often and have never been disappointed but their bakery goods are quite pricey. Check them out when you're in Poco....

This place is a good burger joint with an American-style ambience. The free peanuts fill you up and the prices are affordable. We went several times within a few weeks and got quickly bored and never returned but the food was good. Its a family place where you can hang your hat. Try it out....our clothes smelled oily because of the ventilation of the restaurant that could have been better but it's still a good place to check out....

We sometimes go to Costco just to hit the food bar to eat chicken strips, montreal sandwiches, poutine, hot dogs at an affordable price. It is a busy place all the time but three can eat for less than $17.00. The hot dogs are beefy in size and who can find a better price for hotdogs/pop combinations? You don't go home hungry, unlike other places, so why not come back for more?

Ate on a Saturday evening, sat at the bar and despite the bartender being super busy he looked after me really well. God humoured, and attentive. The ambience was sometimes loud - it is a pub so this is expected. Food king crab legs very tasty. Overall a very satisfyingly experience.
Not only do they have the best gelato I have ever had but the service is spectacular. My young daughter forgot her wallet at Matteos, full of her birthday money and no ID. It was a few weeks before we noticed it missing and when I called they said they still had it. I zipped in and got it but it was when I returned home that I noticed they had put a coupon on the inside for a free gelato, a shiny new pen, and a few Matteo Buck coupons. My 8 year old was thrilled as was I. I will continue to tell everyone I know that the food is delicious but the service is what keeps bringing me back.
I am not usually one to complain about food I order, as it happens today I have a full house. I did not want to cook so naturally I order pizza. When I arrived at home to feed my guests I realize there are two wrong pizzas and I give the place a call. The man on the other end of the phone proceeds to tell me what I ordered and tell me this is what I have been given. I am getting a bit upset and ask to speak with a manager and the man tells me he is the owner. I explain to him that I have been a good customer over the past while and I could not believe how rude he was being. The man responds to me by saying this is the nature of the business and he looses and gains customers every day. I guess the moral of the story here is we as the customer don't madder and don't expect good service once he has your money.
The Place is great, I came their because a friend recommend the place. Thier was 4 of us and the bill came to 20$ per person including tip. its not an all you can eat but i recommend the viking roll - their goyza are the best i have ever had.
The Service is great. you come in its a small place we were the only ones thier at 3:30. we ordered miso soup - goyoza - 2 gomaie salad - tofu and lots of sushi around 50 pcs. and sushimi and their special viking roll - bill came to 71$ not bad
and we got to try the pumpkin deep fired thing on the house
will come again
Dined In. The food was good except for the prawn pad Thai. It had a burnt taste to it which made it impossible to eat. We told our server (the owner) of the burnt flavour and the extreme bitterness and she kindly replaced it.
Prawn pad Thai #2 was just as bad as the first! Burnt flavour and so bitter we could not eat it. We brought it to the owners attention once again but she insisted that is how it is.
My family and I have eaten there many many times and prawns pad thai is always On our list of items we order. We are familiar with this dish and fully know this items sauce, or frying pan it was prepared in, was burnt and burned.
We gave it back uneaten but we were still charged half price as we were told it was not there mistake.
REALLY ! burnt food is the customers mistake???
"Nothing but love"? Unless you have some issues with your bill or payment and you're there on a Saturday night.... the owner/manager won't even help you because he is too intoxicated to handle the situation! And don't even try talking to him because he will disrespect you and raise his voice!
I was even ignored by the hostess at the door when I walked in, not to even mention one of the waitresses complaining she hated working there!
This place needs some serious adjustment on customer service!!!
I have been going to this place on and off for years. More off than on and it looks like I'm not the only one. They used to have line ups on Friday night - sadly their "security chain" is no longer needed. The food gets WORSE year after year and management obviously does not care. I remember the days of line ups out the door for their buffet brunches with all you could eat cracked crab.
Friday night at 7 pm - lots of space on the patio. Lousy, slow waitress with no customer intuition. Beer cold. Caesars were basic - I make better at home. Food was just food service bagged garbage ordered from a supply company and deep fried. No chef or cooking skills required. Chicken strips were grocery store quality. Fries were SOGGY. The whole night was basically a waste of money. I have relatives coming from Europe and it's a safe bet to say I'd be embarrassed to call this place my "local". I won't be back. Oh and it was then only 1/4 full when we left at 8:30 on a sunny Friday night of a long weekend and it's situated on the water. Pretty telling.

We disliked this place the first time, but figured maybe they were just having an off night. After a second attempt, they are:
Overpriced menu
Rude staff
Loooooong wait for overcooked garbage food
Live close by but will never go back.
We walked around and waited to sit and were told the table was reserved...there were a couple other tables open. After about 10 minutes, we were seated at the table we were originally going to sit at. We waited almost 20 minutes just for water!!!
My husband and I just had a very enjoyable dinner at Orrange. Very trendy restaurant in Port Coquitlam which made me forget that we were right beside Costco. We ordered a little bit of everything. We shared the Chinese takeout - fabulous, bang bang beans (which we ended up taking home as we had too much food), quinoa salad (a meal in itself) and the tortilla soup. I felt that the menu had enough variety for everyone. Okay people this is not White Spot or Dennys but a classy, well priced, fantastic restaurant that we will definitely be coming back to. I think next time I will just order the salad alone as I am so full. Kim (our wait person) was fantastic and attentive. All this food plus a ceasar and tea came to $52.00. Can't wait for the fall to see the fireplace going outside.
