Prices that don't eat out your wallet/purse, stunning interior (looks like crap from the exterior though), and dazzling sushis :)

In terms of the ambiance and service, this restaurant has its counterpart beat (the one at Marine Drive). The waitresses are attentive and check up on you to refill your water/tea. Since its renovation, this restaurant has been more than pleasing to dine in.

The food here is great, the combo boxes (look at the picture I uploaded) are around $5 and you can order 18 pieces of sushi from a selection of 24 types for under $6! The driving reason you'll come back to this place is for the food/value. The ambiance and service is a nice plus.

Oh and if you aren't aware, most Asian restaurants (this one included) just serve food as they're prepared. In other words the chefs/cooks don't prepare the food for an entire table and send it out all at once. Your food comes out one by one... usually in the order of how long it make the dish (i.e. a sushi roll will likely reach your table before a box combo does). So yes, your appetizer may reach your table after your entree lols. ALL ASIAN RESTAURANTS DO THIS. Don't be offended, it's just how they do things.

Awesome Place for Sushi

I've got a friend who swears by this place and it was her turn to pick the restaurant, so yesterday we went here. I'm a bit of a sushi nut, so the two of us splurged a little and ordered several of their specialty rolls, which were alright.

What really got me, though, was the quality and size of their more ordinary rolls. A lot of the places I've been to specialize, doing really good specialty rolls while kind of ignoring the basics, but here their basic rolls were simply awesome.

They've also got a combination special offered on the front of their menu. I normally ignore those things as I find they're mostly an excuse for places to get rid of stuff they don't want or to move items that take them little time to prepare. I was pleasantly surprised when the sushi came quickly and was of the highest possible quality.

Exactly what I was looking for. So good that I'm going there again tomorrow.
