Burgers and fries are not exactly hi end dining but the prices charged here are expensive for what you get. The burger was ok, that's it. Fries ok. Expensive meal though. Service was mediocre at best. New oWners?
AnOther patron went out for smoke, right outside the door, we asked the manager to deal with the cigarette smoke blowing into restaurant. She did nothing about it, patron threw his smoke on the ground and didn't put it out, smoke lingered into the restaurant for minutes and again we asked the patron to put it out and then the manager after the patron gave us attitude. Manager did nothing Again. It's probably her son who needs a lesson in manners.
The type of customers this little shack is attracting will prevent us from returning ever again.
Don't go

Just a regular burger, no expensive fries nor drinks. Sever bucks for half a burger. The rest I tossed. It use to be good. New owners? Who ever they are running this place have little idea of what a true Merican, burger should be.
I watched the girls cook one burger at a time...over a flame..and wondering if two or more burgers cooking at the same time would blow their minds.
Half an hour later I recieved a watery sloppy burger with the only flavour being the BBQ sauce that she was reluctant to add..
No charbroiled flavour, I guess they added too much liquids as a filler and steamed the burger instead and by the time it cooked, it was boiled.
Crap! I'll never ever go back. Why waste my money on boiled meat?

So the cashier had difficulty with my order...one fires, one poutine to go. As the line built up as he tried to get the order correct, he asked me if it was ok if he took the others first. I said 'fine', and went to wait for my order and my change. About 10 minutes later, I get a nickel back instead of the $10.05 I should have. The cashier said, no I gave him a $10, I know I gave him a $20. I figure writing this up and posting it is worth ten dollars to me, so here it is. Obviously, I won't be back.

I went to this location on the Canada day weekend after the holiday parade only by fluke. I had no idea that the north shore even had a reneovated Veras location. I happened to find out that they now have a liquor license but being with the kids decided for the typical combo, The owners themselves were there and along with the staff proceeded to make our meal relaxing enjoyable and confortable. Once seated they not only checked on their food quality but proceeded to refill our pops without even getting up to do it ourselves and proceeded to bring ketchup or any other fixings we required. The burgers were amazing and my wife whom must have only a veggie burger has decided that no other veggie burger compares, period. The owners have not only taught the staff that customer service is imperative but by far the second most important element after the food quality. I would highly recommend this location over any other burger joint in North Van, problem is this, they are not a burger joint but have transformed the location into a sorts atmosphere retaurant style that no one can match. I will be back for beers with the wife. again thank you for making a weekend filled with three kids additional family a treat and a relaxing time for us all.

went to the Vera's in North Van and had stopped going for poor quality. The new owners were amazing and the place with its sports on the three or four televisions made the visit not only fun but interesting as there were different games on each TV. The food was top notch and service was excellent. We ordered the Canuck burger and we were not only served at our table but asked how it was. We felt like we were at a restaurant/pub as we never had to leave the table at any time. I will be back,

Thanks to Lynn and Brian, proud new owners of my favorite burger joint, Vera's on Lonsdale, North Vancouver, we can now sit in clean comfort within a newly-renovated much-improved environment, chowing down on my favorite Veggie extra cool works combo, while chatting with the ever-friendly staff and owners. They certainly are proud of their new digs, and obviously the staff are really happy about working there. Each time I come in (I am a shameless regular, so much so that the staff know what to make for me the moment I walk through their door) I FREQUENTLY bring in friends so that they can some day become inveterate regulars too. Staff are always very friendly, professional and happy, greeting everyone who comes in like they are old friends.
I will only go to my Lonsdale Vera's burger for my veggie burgers, and believe me, I've been all over Vancouver and North Shore looking for the best veggie. These guys here are the only ones who know just how much fixins to put in the burger, even compared to other Vera's in Vancouver! Therefore, this is the only place that provides me with what I want. And they can count on me to keep coming there, to dine in or take out.
My companion enjoyed her natural burger, also cool works, and agreed that this was the premier place, making the best burgers around the lower mainland.
So, folks, come in and try the new digs, fixed up like a little diner.
Chomp down on the best burgers in this area whether you're a carnivore or a veg...
bon appetit!!!!!!
