It's a pub - clean and functional, a little dark, and could use some updating - that's why I only gave a mediocre for ambiance. (The tables had beer labels on them, lacquered or plastic coated in.....1980's style) Lots of TV's, would be ok to catch a game.

Fair value - all the pub fare was on par with any other average pub, without the inflated prices. Lunch for 4 with a couple of drinks each was under $80.00.

Service: Our server was friendly and efficient, and attentive, she did quite well considering there was a flurry of people coming in about the same time, and she seemed to be the only waitress on duty. She did apologize for the wait on the food, explaining that all the food orders came in at once, but none of us felt that we had been kept wating, so I expect the food usually comes pretty quick.

Generous portions! I ordered the beef dip, it was tasty, and the bun and au jus came out just right, although not piping hot. I would normally order a salad, but judging by the outdated decor, my expectation was wilted iceberg lettuce and shredded carrot - so I ordered the fries. I wish I'd taken my chances with the salad, as I found the fries a little soggy - I suspect my plate was waiting a bit for my dining companions meals to catch up. They all had fries too, and found them pretty good. I was relieved to discover the food wasn't overly salty!

C and R both ordered fish and chips, and they both thought they were great. The generous portions of fish had the perfect amount, and right kind of batter - not too much, not too thick, not overwhelming the fish.

J ordered a cordon bleu chicken burger, this is not the breaded kind, and he practically inhaled it.....it must hae been good.

We also ordered an assortment of drinks. The Caesars were on special, and they were tasty! Coffee was good, Irish coffee even better, and they had some good beer on tap. We enjoyed a couple of pints of Granville Island Pale Ale, and J ordered a pop too.

All in all, it was pretty good, and we'll return.

I've been here after work with co-workers several times and have never been overtly impressed.

The wings were awful. Unnecessarily coated in flour (i hate floured wings beyond words), caesar salad was terrible, and their appie platter is nothing but a pile of greasy fried foods. It's pretty bland. Even for pub grub.
Clearly they have a very lazy 'chef' because i've sent food back on three occasions and nothing seems to change.

Positive notes, decent burgers and the BEST priced breakfast you'll find anywhere else of huge quantities. Perfect hangover cure.
