Japanese sushi house
The food here is incredible. They prepare all my favorite Japanese classics with unparalleled quality. My many visits there have covered the teriyaki and tempura rolls and dishes, which were all done perfectly and exactly as you'd expect them. Their cali rolls - my favorite - can be ordered with real crab, which I think is a given. The rolls are not overflowing with real crab meat, as you are paying an incredibly low price for them. The sushi rice is expertly prepared with a mild and delicate flavor, and perfectly soft texture that doesn't crumble or mush. The special rolls have ranged from decent to amazing, due to the frank reality that it is ethnic food and you must be prepared to differ in taste. I recommend the crunchy roll; it's spicy but you can order the sauce on the side.
I'm normally blind to value, and oriented entirely on the quality and expertise of food, but it's impossible to ignore the amazing deals offered at this restaurant. Their rolls are, in my opinion, neck and neck with their counterparts prepared at five star restaurants. For a third or less of the price, it was a no-brainer to add this place to my regular list of visits.
There's obviously not an unlimited budget on the place, but it has a very casual and homey feel. The service is similar in nature; they're there to do everything you'd expect them to do at a casual restaurant, and they really do service with a smile. I find myself smiling constantly in response to the joyful service offered by the woman who evidently co-owns the place. As a regular, I really do feel at home there.
I don't hesitate to recommend this to everyone, as the best sushi place I've ever dined.
This is now, my favorite sushi place of all time in Langley
The food is very great. I tried the Crunchy Roll, Crazy Roll, Volcano Roll, and the D.S Roll. They are fantastic! The special rolls here are mostly very spicy. If you love spicy foods, this is the place to go.
The special rolls range at about 8~10 bucks and it is worth your while. The owners are very friendly and the service is good. The Sushi place is limited with seating. It is a bit cramped. Their Sashimi is very fresh. If you want to try great food, try Ra Sushi.
We are blessed here in the Grove to have at least 6 sushi places now.
Ra Sushi is pretty good, I have been happy with everything I have had there. Yesterday I had Nigiri (Tako, or octopus) and it was not as chewy as most places are. I'll get it again! The spicy real crab dynamite roll could have been more spicy, but I guess I could wasabi'd it up a bit. Sticky rice was sticky and delicious. The owners are a husband and wife team, and are very friendly.
My family and I went to Ra Sushi before going to see a movie, and we had a great experience. The service was quick, because they knew we were in a rush, and the sushi was good. We got two orders of the imitation crab california rolls, (Real crab=not as much and higher price) the dynamite rolls, the spider rolls, the spicy vegetable rolls, the vegetable tempura and miso soup. These rolls were very simple but they were very good. The spicy rolls were excellent once again, the spider rolls were great and the california and dynamite rolls were simple, yet good. The vegetable tempura was great, aspecially the deep fried yams, and the miso soup was good. The server was nice and patient, and the bill was not too big. For the first time, I have eaten in here, I would say it is a pretty good place.
We love this place...They are always consistent and the price is always right. Try the spicy agedashi tofu (yum) or some of their specialty rolls. We sometimes drive 10 min just to get take it out when another sushi rest is 1 min down the road. Def worth a try!
Took my family there for a sushi dinner. Quiet place with very basic surroundings. Limited seating. Sushi was good but not outstanding. Miso soup "ok". Sushi maki was small and unimpressive. We enjoy good sushi and this was a new restaurant in the area to try. Very nice people running it but will remain as an "average" not too special place that we "may" try again.
Ra Sushi has become my new go-to spot in Langley. The service has always been warm, even when we came right before close one night. Sushi rolls are always interesting and taste great. We haven't tried any other menu items, just the rolls but they look good when they come out to other tables.
Highly recommended! Try the DT Roll, Crazy Roll and Crunch Rolls.
I ordered take out a couple of weeks ago....it wasn't that good. I had the M&D Roll...a Dynamite Roll topped with smoked salmon with real crab, masago and mayo. At $10.95 per roll, I expected it to taste way better...it was oddly bland. I also had the Real Crab California Roll, again it was bland. With all of the other sushi places out there, I would not come back to this one.
