This is not a typical golf club restaurant. The restaurant has its own identity and it shows as the menu features a great selection of burgers, pastas, seafood and appies.
I came in for lunch and had the Wild Mushroom and Boar Bacon Papperdelle pasta dish. It was amazing, with a generous amount of mushrooms and bacon, in a nice cream sauce. The pasta is home-made and was so tasty.
In fact I didn't realize this before. but many of the ingredients are either made in house from scratch (many of the breads, hot sauce etc) or are from local farmers or shops.
The lunch was not only delicious but I also felt good about eating local foods and supporting local businesses. I will definitely be stopping in next time I'm on the island!

I had a great Valentines dinner in 2012, the shared platter format was fun and interactive. Food quality was excellent and the local wine feature from Averill Creek paired very well. Some of the items were "house smoked" and the house made ice cream with fresh rose pedals was outstanding!
