Good Italian in the Brentwood Mall area

I've driven past here hundreds of times but never decided to stop until it was recommended by a friend. He said I have to go and try the pizza.
I stop in one day for lunch and they said the pizza is only available at night. Oh well, so I order spaghetti vongole - $13.50 (spaghetti with clams in a tomato sauce) It was a good dish. I'd rate it a 3.5 out of 5. For dessert I had the tiramisu - $6. It was good. The place is nice and the server was very friendly and genuine. She was curious to hear feedback about the food which was nice to see. I would definitely hire her if I owned a restaurant. So now I have to come back with my wife for dinner to try this pizza that I was told about..

Round 2:
The wife and I come in for dinner. She ordered the penne boscaiola - $15 & I orderd the caprese pizza - $15.
She enjoyed her pasta. My pizza was good but I didn't see why my friend recommended it, it didn't live up to the hype. Next time I'll try another pasta dish. With wine & a shared dessert the total bill was $67. I was also happy that we had the same great server that I had during my first visit.

Overall this is a good Italian restaurant, italian music and italian feel inside. Affordable, great staff, the food to me was good. Nothing amazing but all around good eats. 3.5 out of 5 for the food. I'm sure I'll come back at some point if I'm in the area.

What a bummer, garlic toast is now an appetizer at $4.50

Went on a Sat evening without reservations and got seated right away. Must have gotten the last open table as we saw people being turned away. Looked over the menu and saw there was no calamari, what a bummer as this is our favourite shareable dish. Opted for the appy special 1/2 pound PEI mussels $7.95. Remember when garlic bread was complimentary? Be prepared to pay $4.50 if you want it here. Entrees were very good and of ample portions. Spaghetti Bolognese with meatballs $15.00 and Spaghetti Vongole $16.00. Even though I had to ask for a water refill and there was a long wait for the bill our waitress Kathryn was a real dream. Pleasant and helpful and overworked. Plenty of parking in the evening. Located in a business mall. I liked it and would return for a nice light meal.

Went for dinner with a friend. When we got there there was only a couple at a table. The restaurant was not busy at all. The server was friendly at the start. We ordered our dinner and it came quickly. Portions are small. Not worth the money they charge. Once he got our food, he did not come by and ask how we were doing. Reminder if you order coffee you only get one free refill after you have to pay for it each cup. This is not mentioned on the menu. There are much better resturants in the area with better value and better service. Not sure why this place is still around. Will not return again.

I know this place keeps busy from the local businesses for lunch. I've eaten there on a few occasions and the food is OK. I wouldn't say the food is anything special. But today was a major disappointment. I ordered one of the lunch specials which was a grilled panini and caesar salad. Since when does a panini consist of one layer of salami, brown lettuce and mayo? Disgusting! For $9 you would expect a hearty sandwich with a few layers of meat and cheese and fresh toppings. Then I noticed a $2 charge for the salad but I thought that was part of the special. A little misleading. My colleagues weren't raving about their pasta either. The sandwich was disgusting and I won't be back. Normally I would have spoken up but we were lost in conversation and I couldn't be bothered. Total bill with coffee and tip was over $15 for a measly panini! Major rip off.
