With so many good fish 'n chip places around like C-Lovers or Kings Fare I can't recommend this place. No ambiance at all, just a greasy spoon. Nice people, trying hard, but when you have Fish n Chips as part of your restaurant's name, you better serve some quality. The fish batter was greasy and the chips nothing special either.

Betty's Fish & Chips is something new to the world of cuisine. This restaurant can be both casual as well as fancy, made for people of all ages. It has a mix of young and old, child and adult, welcoming people of all ages. There construction paper and coloring pages for the youth accompanied by all kinds of savory foods for the adults. There’s something for everyone, everyday of the week. On those slow, sluggy rainy days, you can come in; grab the paper and just have a freshly brewed cup of coffee followed up with some bacon and eggs to get your day off to an exhilarating start. On those days with blistering heat, you can come in to notice the cool sensation of the fan and air conditioning blowing on you.
The menu proves to appeal to the public with both advanced and simple palates. Being only a 10 minute walk from the ever popular Metrotown, Betty's fish and chips is a must try. Your culinary adventure in the GVA isn't complete without a taste of this superb restaurant.

Betty's fish and chips is the usual ok type of restaurant, but it's not so outstanding that people would usually remember about.
They have fairly little amount of parking space and the backdoor is pretty narrow and filled with dirty dishes scattered in the plastic trays. There's only one door that's avaliable for use. That's really unsafe considering if a fire or an emergency occurs.
You basically just sit down and eat and they expect you to leave once you're finished. The waiter doesn't seem to be actually capable of doing anything whatsoever; he just sits there and waits for the customers to come over to the counter and takes the order. The place is fairly big and is most often found with empty seats. If they're lucky, they might have a few "elderly" people to come by and eat...
