I was in the CM getting bubble tea and on impulse I wandered up to the food court in search of curried fish balls. On the way, I spotted BP. The place looked very nice and clean inside, and the clerk was super-friendly and described the various flavours for sale. I wished it was a little cheaper, but it is a specialty product after all.
I was not impressed with my last BP puff in Richmond, but I decided to give the mango flavour a try this time. The mango was not as sweet as the vanilla I had before, and it was very fresh. I still felt the sugar rush as the sucrose hit the bloodstream, so I would say there was plenty of the sweet stuff in there. I don't think I will make BP a regular part of my snack habit, but I will probably try it again when I want to get hyper ;).

Stumbled upon this place in Crystal mall. Having read reviews about Beard Papas in Aberdeen center I thought what the heck let's give it a try. Ordered a variety of cream puffs. Vanilla, chocolate and green tea. Chocolate was the favourite. Very comical and pretentious watching each puff being filled and weighed. Better pastries to be had elsewhere.

New cookie puffs

This is one of the newer Beard Papa's in the Lower Mainland. They offer a new item called cookie puff's that are cream puffs with bits of cookie dough baked into the puff. A bit different but still yummy.

From their website:
"The shells are made of a proprietary double-layer of soft French "choux" and outside "pie crust" that are filled with a whipped-cream custard that takes two hours to prepare, and the custard and whipped cream are combined just before the cream puffs are filled. Flavors are created with the highest quality ingredients available such as Madagascar vanilla beans, Bavarian dark chocolate, high-grade, Japanese green tea extract, and so much more."

After trying Beard Papa cream puffs at another location, I heard that Crystal Mall was opening one and went to try. The place was very cute -- it had the lovable-like atmosphere. Their puffs, of course, I would definitely say are some of the best ones I've had. The cashier was quick, also.
They have a reasonable price, so I would recommend this place to any cream puff lovers!
