Duke of Dublin is an Irish pub with live DJ every Friday and Saturday night
Closed due to alleged license and customer control problems. Now part of the Townhall Public house group. Stopped by last Sunday and found the service, food, atmosphere to be pretty good. Smart staff, caring manager, and knowledgeable staff. Food prices were fair. The neighbourhood seems to be much better than my last visit two years ago. Very crowded and we found one of only two empty tables. That's a good sign. We were told they have been open for only three weeks.
I used to hang out here a lot when it first opened and it was great! It has seriously gone downhill since then though.
Way overpriced beer, terrible service, and the atmosphere isn't half of what it used to be. Know this before you go: it isn't an Irish bar. If your looking for terrible pop music and a small army of police roaming the place, then you've come to the right place though.
I will not be coming here again for quite sometime.
Brought in a daily deal coupon from groupon or hungrybuy com and had a great time. We had 50% off our bill, which was extra nice. The server was very sweet and knew the menu well. She recommended certain dish that she likes. The food came out hot and tasty. There weren't many people there on that Wednesday. Was there once for dinner before but prefer lunch cause it's not so crowded.
Will definitely come back and highly recommend this place.
