Server licked her fingers!

We went in to order some deli. The quality is above average but pricey. The young woman who served us licked her fingers so she could pick up the sheets of paper they lay down to weigh the meat. Disgusting and a health code violation! I complained to the manager. He said it was wrong but probably just a habit from home. Excuse me. These people are handling food. It is unacceptable period. As customers you can become the victim of all kinds of nasty things by improper handling, including Hepatitis. If you go there make sure to ask your server to go wash her hands!

Chameleon Cafe11965 224 Street, Maple Ridge
Unfortunate

My husband and I have been looking forward to trying Chameleon for quite some time now. We were impressed by the appetizers and the first 30 minutes of our visit. Over the next 75 minutes, I ordered another glass of wine (never got), watched other customers receive their orders (who arrived after we did) and asked twice about our meal. We were assured it was coming, with apologies. We arrived at 530, and at 715 our waiter came back (still no wine) and advised us he had FORGOTTEN to place our order! No offer of comped appetizer, drink, nothing. We paid and left, quite disappointed. In the very least, there should have been SOME effort made to entice us to return. Nope, Nada, Nothing. Extremely poor customer service.

I have treated 5 male friends to dinner at this restaurant. Each one said it was the best Indian food he has eaten in Vancouver. Unfortunately, not one of them has returned the favour. Anyway… The food is delicious, the restaurant is clean, and the staff is wonderful. I will keep going back.

Jagerhof Schnitzel House71 Lonsdale Ave, North Vancouver
Terrible value for mediocre wiener schnitzel and small portions…

I've had better at this restaurant, but maybe that was before it changed hands. What a disappointment!

The breading was bland and the overall effect was not crispy, but soft and totally unappetizing. The meat was pounded so thin that it was only about 1 millimetre thick. There were no more than 5 small pieces of homefried potato underneath it. It was far too expensive at $17 for so little food on the plate and poorly prepared food at that! I would go so far as to say that it was shockingly terrible. I took a photo on my cell phone of the wiener schnitzel dish I ordered.

This is the best sushi that I have ever had. My sister and I and some friends go quite regularly and are never disappointed. It does not seat that many, about 7 tables but we have never had to wait for a table. We are all retired so we do not mind changing chairs or tables if it gets them more customers. The food is fresh and the service is great. I believe that for the most part it is just the two of them she waitresses and he makes the sushi. Your get tea, miso soup and small tasty dessert. It is the best sushi for your dollar. I can't wait to go back. In fact after writing this review decided to go tonight . Leona Jensen and Norma Macnamara

J, her hubby and their son stopped in while enjoying the sunny Vancouver weather. For an early dinner, the place was packed. After a good half an hour wait, we finally managed to get a seat. Normally I wouldn't feel the wait but the kiddo was really getting worked up about not getting served. Really want to thank the server for being comprehensive and talking to him all the while. Brownie points for that!

Once we were seated, things moved rather quickly. Our order was taken and appys started arriving. For the first time, I liked the pakoras over the samosas. Kudos to the one who recommended it. J and I especially enjoyed our chicken methi. It was probably one of the best I've had in a while.

More than the food, the service was excellent. The waiter was patient with us, even when the kid spilled all his drink on his shirt. Water constantly refilled was probably a sign from J who found the food a bit too spicy.

Flying Pig, The1168 Hamilton Street, Vancouver
Don't know what happened this time

I am usually a sucker for comfort food, and so every time I make it to Vancouver, the Flying Pig is the place go to. Without question. There's something about this place that keeps on drawing me back, not sure if it is their pulled pork poutine or what, but the ambience is great. I love the nonchalant feeling to this place - it's like everyone is not too worried or hurried in having a good time - but all within the limit of course.

This time around, things weren't such as pleasant. We arrived for an early dinner only to find ourselves with a line-up at the door. Comprehensive and normal. Nothing to worry about. We were told the wait was going to be half and hour maximum but ended up waiting more than an hour. Okay, we can deal with that. What we couldn't deal with was the rude staff and manager. Had it not been for my friends, I would have left. Hoping this was a one time thing and won't happen again.

Really like Orrange. Stupid name. Wine and beer super cheap . Fries are the best I have very had anywhere . I don't even like fries but I have them here. Never tried the chicken "stripes" not sure what they are. Never tried the butter to see if it's crispy or not . That would be weird. I super love the wedge sald it's the. Best. ,go have cheap applies and cheap booze. It's good. Not trying to be a fancy restaurant just cheap applies and cheap drinks

Worst food I have ever ate

I will not talk about menu because it is not a menu for the place they are positioning them self. It is a mix of food truck menu and low level eatery, but prices are not.
I have to say the service was on good level.
However, food was not eatable. Fish and chips was way to over cooked, butter was not crispy enough, size was small and pricey, chicken stripes and fries was to oily, but chicken was cooked well. Also we have tried pork ribs - it was a huge mistake. Ribs was to dry. Fries are not good as well, in 5 minutes it was soggy. Coleslaw is the only thing we liked :)
If place positioning it self as restaurant it should provide decent food.
Do not recommend to go to the place until they fix their food.

Wok 'n Roll1 Ferry Causeway, Delta
Worst service ever

I have never been so insulted in my life! My two teenaged daughters and I went here while waiting for the ferry. The woman working there totally ignored us while we stood in front of her waiting to be served. A man came along and she served him immediately. I said, loud enough for both of them to hear, that we were there first and they both glanced over, then ignored us. After he left I said "excuse me" twice to get her attention. She still ignored us. At that point we somewhat loudly said that if we are being ignored we will go somewhere else, still to absolutely no response from her. Yet, somehow she had no problem hearing the other customer place his order. DO NOT GO HERE.

Best service and best French restaurant ever

Best service and best French restaurant ever. We went here to celebrate the anniversary of my parents over lunch last week. We had baked escargot, lobster tempura/ scallop salad, lamb shank ( juicy and tender), salmon/ prawns / halibut ( melt in your mouth) platter, lamb chop and grand marnier souffle (soft and puffy).
We love this place. We had already made another 2 reservations for next month.
