Prairie 360 is a newly renovated revolving restaurant offering breathtaking views and a menu of Canadian cuisine.
Last night I met some friends at Prairie 360 for dinner. We were looking forward to a great evening out but, while the social aspect was great, the rest of the experience left something to be desired. The view was fabulous, I'll say that much. Although our waitress was trying to make us happy throughout the evening, service was incredibly slow. Although we arrived before 7 (and were seated immediately), we did not receive our meals until close to 10! Almost everyone had issues with their meals. Some were very salty, some were very dry. I and two others ordered the bison and prosciutto perogies. They were missing the prosciutto. The bison was incredibly bland (tasted like bland wild game) and the sauce on top seemed to be a mild Alfredo that just didn't suit the dish at all. The one redeeming factor was the caramelized onions. When the waitress asked us how we were enjoying our meals, we let her know about our disappointment. She said she's send a manager to talk to us. Shortly after she left to do that, a man in a suit came to talk to us about our meals (he seemed to have been told that we were disappointed). Upon hearing about our disappointment further (and arguing with us), he offered up to a 70% discount and then walked away, saying he'd return when we were done our meals. When he returned he asked if a manager had come to talk to us yet and admitted that he was, in fact, NOT the manager but was simply "the wine guy". By the time we left at 11:00, we still had not seen a manager. However, those of us who ordered the perogies found our meal was free (still had to pay for our drinks), and others received a discount of some sort. I do not fault our waitress (in fact I gave her an extra tip) as she was trying to make things right and give us an enjoyable dinner experience. I do fault the rest of the staff: the kitchen staff who apparently don't know how to cook and take forever to send food out, the "wine guy" (his words) who pretended to be a manager and argued with us, and the manager who didn't show up at all. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
