El Mayor has the BEST Lebanese food in Windsor...amazing! My husband would agree! We usually order the Mixed Shawarma Plate (chicken & beef, rice, onions, pickles, beets) with a small Fattoush Salad and Hummus w/ pita bread and we split it. All this food for about $ 30 and we bring about half of it home for dinner the next day. The only down side is they don't have a liquor license, but that's not stopping me from going over and over again!
Years ago I declared Cramdon's my favourite restaurant. Their chicken quesadilla was amazing and I also enjoyed the Greek burger, however last month I went to their new location (not as nice, but still fine) the lunch was not very good. I had the chicken quesadilla, thinking I couldn't go wrong, but the chicken was dry. My husband didn't enjoy his chicken wings much either (also overcooked). I will certainly give it another try as I've always enjoyed it there before, and when we play darts there on Friday nights the nachos have been very good. Maybe the cook was just having a bad day?
I have never actually been in the restaurant, although I have been meaning to go....my cousin won the "Rock the Block" contest on 100.7 The Rock and the owner / chef (can't remember his name) from Club Il Cavallino catered the early morning event! Breakfast wraps, which were really good, home fried potatoes & fresh fruit. I spoke with him for a while and his restaurant is in a really great looking building (Inside F1 Collision, which is extremely odd), but my favourite part is that he grows his own organic veggies in the garden next to the restaurant. I love that!
I am not a huge fan of chicken wings and I would never order them myself, but one night a bunch of friends went out together and several of them ordered the wings so I got to try them....they were amazing! And on specific nights (I don't know which) you get 3 lbs for the price of 1 lb, so its a great deal!
Although its not my favourite Lebanese restaurant, it is very good. I don't find their menu has a lot of variety, but maybe you can substitute, and when my husband and I ordered the $ 40 platter there was only rice and a couple of shish kabob's to share. Salad and hummus and bread were extra. The meal was expensive and we only had a little bit to take home. It was very busy in there though, and I think we were there on a Monday or Wednesday, so that's quite impressive, and its beautifully decorated, but its certainly not my first choice. I would go back only if we were meeting friends there and it was their suggestion.
I eat here 2 - 3 times every week because the food is excellent and the prices are fantastic! Everyday there are two specials under $ 10 including tax (you can't beat that...). The menu offers tons of lunch items for under $ 5.00 including tax and portions are just right. My favourite sandwiches are the BLT (they have really great bacon) or the Egg Salad or the Chicken Caesar in a Pita. If you are into specialty coffees you should try this place too, as apparently they are award winning! See you there!
This is the cutest place ever and their food is healthy, fresh & amazing!! And the prices are outstanding....my favourite sandwiches are The Patricia (tuna w/ red onion, old white cheddar & curry); The Veggie Loola ( a wrap with veggies, old white cheddar & avocado) and the Grilled Cheese Toastie w/ Old White Cheddar, Pecans & Date sauce.....sounds weird, but its like eating dessert for lunch. Absolutely amazing!! Love it....
I love just driving near this place because it smells so darn good! Most of my experiences have been excellent here. They have the BEST beans I've ever had, the Basa is good, the Pulled Pork is good, the Chili is good, the Redneck Nachos are good and my very favourite sandwich is the El Ray (Beef Brisket). Try the salads as well......delicious!
Can you believe I had never been to Red Lobster until a year or so ago?? I wasn't into fish when I was younger, but I have now come to love it. My entire family went for the first time and we each ordered something different and shared.....we all love it! I am in love with the Peach Bourbon Scallops, and the wood fired Salmon is also excellent! My favourite meal so far was the Crumb & Cheese Encrusted Tilapia! OMG, to die for!! Can't wait to go back!
Really great prices for really yummy pasta! I went there for my birthday lunch and had the Pasta Carbonara and it was really excellent and I'm pretty sure the meal was under $10 which is amazing for a nice pasta dish...lots of food too. Their fresh bread is also very yummy! I can't wait to go back!
I couldn't believe the prices.....you get a delicious (and I mean delicious) club house sandwich for only $ 5.95 and that may even be including tax (I forget)......It doesn't come with fries, but who really wants those anyway? Its a very small, cute place...maybe 6 tables, so get there early!
We've been there a few times, and each time the food has been really good. We've mostly had breakfast and although the prices aren't cheap, you do get a good size portion and I have to say they have the best home fries I've ever had...you must get the fried home fries with onion & spices....amazing!!
I ordered the "special" which was Panzarotti with pepperoni, mushroom, bacon. There was very little mushroom and bacon, and tons of "pepperoni", which I would consider bologne, as that's what it was....and it was baked not fried (but I didn't ask that).....It wasn't my favourite, not really great at all, but I'll give it another chance as the prices are excellent and its always packed in there so they must be doing something right.
I absolutely love the Keg.....everything about it....its very romantic, the food is excellent, and when I do income taxes for family I ask for Keg gift cards instead of cash so dinner is basically free for me!! :) I always order the Filet Mignon, medium rare, garlic mashed potatoes, and salad......I have never been disappointed (at this location)
I ordered the Greek Salad and was hugely disappointed as the lettuce was brown in quite a few places. Also, after a while the dressing made my stomach upset. I met my husband for lunch that day and when I gave him his gyro he asked where I got it and when I said Greek Boy he sighed. He would rather I went to Sofo's across the street! Next time....
This is our favourite Chinese restaurant.....its been there for years, but we just started going there just over a year ago, and for the first time I tried General Tao Chicken (# 13)! It is so delicious!!! Very fresh, good quality ingredients, and you get good value for your dollar when you buy the individual meals. I think General Tao Chicken is a dollar more at about $ 7.95, including rice, egg roll, soup.
Although I usually like my meal, I find the portions are just too big and the prices are too high......cut the size by 1/3 and reduce the price by $ 2.00 or so, and I'd go back more often. The Chicken Chili Enchilada is really good, but again, too big....
My brother in law's 40th birthday was held here (only because Big Tony's was closed for reno's after the big fire on Walker).......I had no idea how much the meal was, I figured a buffet is about $ 15 or so......well, to my shock and dismay, the bill comes and for myself, my husband, my 15 and 13 year old kids....$ 110!!! I flipped....I asked why and they said because crab legs was on the menu. Well, none of us had any crab legs, but too bad for us. Not only was the meal mediocre, it was a really expensive disappointment. I won't ever go there again!
I cannot believe the value you get for your dollar. The food is amazing and the prices are even better....go for lunch and almost everything on the menu is half price. NOT KIDDING! Sandwiches, burgers...1/2 off! They don't come with a side, but you can add one for $ 2.00....but the sandwiches are big, you don't really need a side, at least I don't. I highly recommend the Turkey club with cranberry mayo, and the Deli Sandwich with potato chips (inside)....and for dinner I've had the Basa and it was excellent! Can't wait to go back!
Shockingly, Casa's has a really yummy fish sandwich. Last year a bunch of Facebook friends met for dinner and a birthday celebration. Someone said Casa's has a kitchen, so we went for dinner......most of us ordered the fish and it was amazing....one of our friends had a really burnt bun, but other than that no complaints! I was pleasantly surprised!
