With several locations in the Lower Mainland, Nando's Chicken offers flame grilled chicken and side dishes such as coleslaw, spicy rice and spring mix salads.
Received a coupon in the paper and ordered one of the special meals by phone. Guy was great on the phone. Picked 2 sides. Was asked if I want Portugese buns or Garlic Bread. Chose garlic bread. Was not told about the $2.50 upcharge that I did not notice i paid for until I got home. Would have paid it, but come on, don't arbitratily add cost and expect people to not notice.
The guy on the phone also tried to upsell me on another side and I had to ask 2 or 3 times if it was included with the coupon I had. I did not need any more food - we were already getting too much. He had a hard time telling me that I would have to pay for a third side. Felt like I was being sold a car.
Chicken is consistent. I do find the fries get soggy by the time we eat them at home, but like the flavor. The coleslaw seemed about 2/3 full in the take out container, but that may be a full order. Was fresh and tasty.
The garlic bread is hamburger buns cut in half and lightly toasted. Pretty weak.
