Five Corners Café is a true vintage 50's Diner with very few changes since the early days. Located in White Rock at Five Corners it has a big regular crowd and serves awesome brekkies and lunches. Newly taken over by the three gals who have worked there for years, they've given it a makeover yet kept the old 'deco lunch counter and even the old Mixmaster for their famous Milkshakes.
Good eats. The breakfast is nice and their burgers and beef dips are good gut filling food. Diner atmosphere is good for the Sun morning hangover cure. The place could use a good steam cleaning but it is not overly disturbing. They only take cash so make sure to hit the ATM before dining. Our family will keep coming to this diner
What a find! This is no restaurant done up to LOOK like a 50's Diner.. It IS one that hasn't changed. From its original curved black bakelite counter with stools along it to the vintage milkshake maker, this place takes patrons back in time. The friendly staff here treat everyone like old friends and it has a huge local "regular" crowd that keep it a busy place. The menu is breakfast and lunch only; classic brekkies with some surprises like a full Traditional Irish Breakfast as well as a good selection of "hash" plates. Their burgers are awesome... home-made... and the fries are perfect. If you have a hankering to see what restaurants used to be like.. this is the place!
