Dock's serves fish & chips for eat in and take out.
We went to Dock's, mistaking it for (what we later learned was called) Moby Dick's.
The plus is that Dock's is on the busy part of the strip closer to the pier. The server was friendly and pop was refilled.
The downside is the food wasn't good -- we tried the cod and halibut. The cod seemed like it might have been made from frozen, and was comparable to the kind you find in the supermarket's freezer section. Halibut was MUCH better and was fresh (recommended if you go). Batter was ok. Fries were soft and subpar.
Value -- We ordered 3 pieces of cod and 1 piece of halibut. The pieces weren't very big (4 inches each?) and two pops. Total was $40 incl. tip. I would have been ok with the price had the food quality been better. We'll go to Moby Dick's next time!
We ordered the halibut and chips and the cod and chips. The fish seemed to have been frozen and the chips were McCain SuperFries - we saw her pour them into the fryer right from the McCain bag! Their menu claims "English Style Fish 'n Chips"...far from it!
Just a few paces West we could have had a much better eating experience. Sadly this Food Outlet is "out to lunch".
The lay out is very interesting- though not overly clean....with holes in the table to put your Newspaper Wrapped cone of Fish n Chips.
I ordered the Cod N Chips...My Wife ordered the Halibut N Chips.
My Cod was kind of GOOEY.. looked like just out of the freezer.
the Halibut was OK as were the Chips in both cones.
NEXT TIME We will walk a few paces Westward and seek out yet another eating adventure (instead of misadventure).
