This place has a clean look of a remodelled house. It has a wonderful view, and fabulous food. The alcohol is a bit on the pricey side, but if you don't drink then it's manageable. I've been here a few times and have learned that this is one of those restaurants where the appy's are better than the mains. Their beef tenderloin with risotto is amazing. Their miso salad is YUM and perfectly seasoned. I can't remember what else i've had there but I've been here a few times now and will definitely be coming back!
We've walked by the restaurant many times wondering how long it would last. From the outside it looks a little stark and we imagined it would be pricey. But, wandering down Marine Drive on a busy and hot summer weekend evening, our patio choices were very limited. As we approached Deluxe, we noticed an empty table on the patio and thought we'd try it out.
Here is the summary: Excellent food (we started with beef skewers and risotto -- delish! -- then had a plain but surprisingly tasty avocado pizza and a bucket of ice cold Peroni); service was stellar (and our server looked a little like Jake Gyllenhall -- can't complain about that!); and the people watching was abundant. Prices ranged from $15-$50 so there is some flexibility if you don't want to fork out a pile of money.
I definitely recommend this restaurant to locals and visitors alike.
