Enjoy the flavor of authentic Caribbean and West Coast cuisine. Patio overlooking the ocean. Live band on weekends. Buffet brunch Sundays.
I was here... recommended by someone from Trinidad I met on the train. Maybe she was from Jamaica... but I came here and was disappointed. Jerk chicken too saucy... too much liquid. Rice not soft enough...
Nice location though... flavour, not so good... but I would still come back here if I am in White Rock. How many Jamaican are there anyway??? They are always so few of them, far in between cities.
Try Kiss Yo Mama on Imperial in Burnaby... small home-cafe atmosphere, not the best atmosphere but the food is 100% than Carribean Beeze.
Stopped here for lunch. Funny we were the only patrons. Sat out on the terrace, beautiful day and we enjoyed the ambiance.
Indoors the decor was simple but tasteful. Tried the garlic prawn appetizer - very nice not overdone.
We had the coconut beer batter fish and chips. Not quite what I expected, I didn't taste the coconut but the fish was flaky and not greasy. Skinny fries - nothing special there. The coleslaw was fresh made and very tasty. Opted for iced tea and have to admit it was refilled just as soon as it was empty - guess it pays to be to the only ones in the restaurant. I think I'd like to come back for dinner just to try some of their specialties
Was there for Lunch in January, 2007. You won't be impressed by the stark ambience, but the food is reasonably good. Given that there were few others in the restaurant when we were there, the food took inordinately long to prepare, but once it arrived it was pleasant. The Roti are a good choice, but the dishes are served a la carte without fanfare. And while the food was good enough, it was by no means fabulous. Given the generally mediocre calibre of restaurants on the White Rock beach, this one is probably worth the visit.
