Black Tuna is a Japanese bistro in White Rock serving a menu of tapas and small plates for sharing.
I ordered take-out from Black Tuna today and waited about 10 mins. while my order was being prepared. They brought out this large plastic bag and I thanked them and went home. When I opened the bag, part of my order was missing. I phoned the restaurant and the man who answered (the owner I believe) knew right away what I was calling about. He apologized for the mistake and told me that he'd give me a complimentary order of tempura when I came to pick up the missing part of my order. I told him that wasn't necessary since it was a mistake and it wasn't a big deal. When I went back to the restaurant 3 of the employees came out to apologize for the mistake. My order was waiting for me to pick up, as well as a large order of tempura. The owner also insisted on giving me $5 (25% of the cost of my order), which I didn't want to take. He was very insistent (but pleasantly so).... I was just blown away by this level of service. Mistakes happen in business everyday.... this was not a big deal, but they remedied the problem with great tact. As you can tell from my previous review, I really like the food at Black Tuna, but their service has clinched it for me. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how it's supposed to be done!
