Bistro Elis is a unique bistro located on Marine Dr in White Rock offering cod and halibut fish & chips and crab cakes to shrimps on skewers. They also offer microbrew beers on tap for $4.25 a pint.
I work on the waterfront in White Rock and it can be difficult to find a place with decent food at a decent price. Bistro Elis is a small, funky cafe that is lovely on a summer day. It has delicious sandwiches and great fish & chips. The batter on the fish is light and tasty and the fish inside actually looks and tastes like fish rather than the mush you get at other Fish & Chip places. Most meals are under $10 and they have good drink specials. The yam fries are also a must try. Service can be slow on a nice day when the restuarant is very busy, but the friendliness and charisma of the owner makes up for it. Last time I went there for a weekend lunch the owner gave me free beer!
