After a long day exploring Whistler, we ended up here for a birthday dinner. Martini's and beers were good and priced well, appies of crab fritters and carpaccio were nice, 12oz rib eye was cooked well, served with yummy veggies and a burnt to heck yorkshire pudding. Our waiter didn't come around for a quality check so we had to flag him down to ask for an unburnt pudding. A lady returned 10 minutes later with a pudding that was still burnt, but parts of it were edible. We also had to flag him down for another round of drinks. The pesto tagliatelle was good and the scallops were deeelicious! Dessert of creme brule was mediocre and we enjoyed our specialty coffees. The room was lovely and had a nice view of the mountains. This is probably the nicest restaurant in Creekside.
Just wanted to let Chop House and Locals How great the food and service is here! We went in for a date night and it was great! For a local the price was right and service was great! The food was amazing we had such a good meal and to top it off its a great place to watch the play offs! There are like 7 big screens up stairs did not matter where we were seated we could have watched the game!!!!!!! We also decides to come back on Wednesday for their 10$ Pizza and Beer night fantastic food and deals!!!!!! thanks so much, we will be back soon.
Came across Players on a Wednesday night... looking for somewhere to watch the game. Turns out there was a pizza and beer special on for $10. Pint and a big pizza of your choice, great deal. Me and the boys had great food, even better service and most important of all, got to watch the Cannucks game on a big projector screen in a room with a great atmosphere. An unexpectedly fun night!
My wife and I were staying in Creekside on a skiing holiday and didn't feel like venturing into the village. We noticed the Chophouse from the highway when we arrived so decided to go there. We got a seat by the fireplace which was cozy. The food was amazing, my wife doesn't eat meat so i was slightly concerned but there was a lot of other choices from seafood, salads and pizza. The service was great...we were the last ones in the restaurant at the end of the evening and they didn't rush us, even though the staff were clearly still there because we were. Will definitely be heading back on our next trip to Whistler.
Our meal was disappointing from the moment we walked in the door.
The restaurant is big, empty feeling and cold. (They actually provide fleece blankets to the poor souls that are seated near the entrance)
We arrived early as we were trying to make it to a movie after dinner. The restaurant was completely empty, and yet we were seated right next to the hostess station, near the front door. The restaurant remained empty for the entire time we were there. Although there was no music or other patrons, the place was noisy with staff laughing and talking at the bar with the cooks.
The meals were edible but sad looking as they were served in large bowls. Kind of reminded me of the "Chunky Soup" commercials about the Mom serving the professional athletes their meals. (Except it wouldn't be $32 a bowl)
I recently traveled to Whistler for a holiday, staying in Creekside. After a hike we came to the Players Chophouse for lunch and sat on their beautiful patio that overlooks the mountains. The lunch menu was really reasonably priced and their beef dip was outstanding. Later on in the week we decided to check out their evening menu, once again sat on the patio and we were even more impressed. The menu had a wide selection of food...the steaks amazing! It was really busy inside and out with a great atmosphere and the service was great. The server even got me a blanket when the evening got a bit cooler. After dinner we sat in the lounge area and sipped some cocktails. Perfect last night of the holiday! **!
