Wow...as soon as we walked into Harajuku Izakaya we thought ...ok this is going to be good. The décor is a very good replication of a street scene in Kyoto or any other Japanese village. Right down to the roof tiles and hand-painted signage. Unfortunately, that's all that was authentic. The food was so mediocre and bland. There was only one server when we were there on a weeknight and she was doing fine but she couldn't make the food any tastier. My suggestion is send your cooks to Whistler Samurai Sushi at Creekside and do what they're doing.
