Chef Bernard's delivers organically-inspired cuisine in a casual cafe setting. Chef Bernard's serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
I think we caught them a little understaffed last Sat morning. Good breakfast, perfect over easy organic eggs, and the coffee cup stayed full. The service suffered due to lack of staff. I think they may have changed owners recently.
Food - got the special, cinnamon-raisin french toast, tasty.
Service - understaffed, or just slow, took awhile to get seated even though tables were open. Forgetful server, had to ask for sugar many times.
Value - expensive, buts its expected in Whistler.
Ambiance - relatively clean, very small space, thus seating is a bit tight.
Comments - Would not go back.
The service was friendly if a little slow. The sandwiches were tiny and incredibly overpriced - even for Whistler. The food wasn't bad, there just wasn't much of it. When it used to be Chef Bernard's it was still expensive but at least you ate something resembling a meal.
I'd recommend a 2 dollar muffin from the farmer's market instead.
