Located at the Hilton Resort & Spa, Celadon Korean Cuisine serves Korean food in a chic Whistler setting.
We were in Whistler just to relax and came across this restaurant. Went upstairs after dinner one evening and it didn't appear to be busy compared to the other restaurant next door.
After reading a review from another website, we decided to try it out the next evening.
They had an all you can eat korean bbq at $40 per person. We were served with a bowl of miso soup, 4 korean side dishes, perfect kimchi, rice and all you can eat chicken, bulgogi, beef short ribs, chicken (tastes like tandoori), shrimp, scallops, salmon and calamari. All meat were marinated.
You just ask for more of the meat dishes and they came.
The staff were friendly and always filled our glasses of water and refilled the soda pop. Some staff needed some improvement in their English skills.
Decor is very modern and clean. They have given the restaurant must breathing room and lots of extra space so you don't feel cramped.
It was a nice Korean style dinner which you grill at your table. The food was good quality and service friendly. No buffet when we went. My biggest complaint was the price. It was frankly, bordering on a tourist trap. A meat dish was in the mid $30's and was very small. A bowl of white rice $3. I can't recommend this restaurant unless they lower their prices.
