I was in the village of Park Royal wanting lunch and saw Red Door. I came in, was greeted by friendly, attentive servers. I could tell it was new, only open for 2 weeks, bright, spacious, modern location, as I sat in a very comfortable booth.

I ordered the Soothing lettuce wrap and Won Ton soup. I had the soup first, lots of flavour, great tasting on a cool day. My lettuce wrap arrived with plenty of lettuce to wrap my meal inside. I was getting full fast, lots of flavour, bit on the spicey side but each bite was great tasting.

Throughout my meal, I found the service attentive, spot checks and its a very comfortable location. As for the price, its not cheap, the ambiance is what you're paying for and be prepared to see high prices.

I will be back to explore the menu on occassion, recommended when you're at Park Royal Village.

The teenagers loved the asian fusion especially the mongolian beef and the halibut is melt in your mouth delicious. I've also come with a group of friends and ordered a bunch off the menu for sharing. Out of 10 dishes I would say we loved 7 and the other 3 were fine. Would definitely come again.

My honey and I snuck away from the kids on Sunday and went out for lunch. We wanted to try someplace new and this place caught our eye. We were seated straight away and it was a good sign that the manager looked up from his paperwork and greeted us warmly as we entered. We had a bottle of Peony Gewurz, lettuce wraps, buddha's veggies & seven spice beef. Everything was A-ok but the beef was drowned in too much sauce. The buddha's feast tasty but a tiny portion. The service was attentive and not at all annoying. The waiter was well spoken and did not call us "Guys", not even once. Note to hostess: CFM boots are not appropriate in a dining room unless you're a guest.... then you can wear what you want. The decore is acceptably hip but the crazy huge picture of the Asian chickie staring at us made us gag just a little. I don't know how much we paid because my honey never lets me look at the bill when he pays. Gawd, I love that man. We'll go back and try other stuff. By the way, nowhere on the bottle of Gewurtz did it say the name Peony... but heck it was white, crisp, fruity and had just the right tang to compliment the food...so what does it matter?

I am using this website to find the restaurant and ppl feedback and I found it's very useful. That's why I've decided to start adding my experience for others.

My girlfriend and I went Red Door on last weekend to have some appy and check the new place. It was mixture of west coast and Chinese design, we liked the decoration.

We ordered 1/2 spring roll, Fried Squid and Naan bread as our appetizers.
Out of those only Naan was tasty but I found they are not making that, they get that by special delivery.
Squid was so chewy and no taste, spring roll had also no taste. I can easily say the spring roll in food court is tastier than theirs.
We also ordered beer and one Lemonade, nothing wrong with beer but lemonade was flat and taste was water and sugar. Server kindly changed that to Cranberry juice, but same problem, flat with no real cranberry taste.

I might try this place again as fast food restaurant but not for Dine.
