The Fresh Grill replaces a former Bread-Garden restaurant (I think) and keeps relatively the same decor. Atmosphere is good and they have a patio which is a bonus. We were lured in by a nice looking breakfast advert with reasonable prices.

What we got was not up to the level suggested by the photos, the prices, nor the decor --a truck-stop diner would be ashamed to serve this food. Our eggs-benedict breakfast consisted of an un-toasted English muffin, slice of ham lunch-meat, poached egg and what appeared to be, in both flavour and consistency, a large blob of Helmann's Mayonnaise. This blob was about equal in size to the rest of the benny, and despite my best efforts, I was not able to remove enough to make the meal palatable.

The Fresh Grill has a unique take on the Cafeteria restaurant style. Food is brought out to customers after ordering at the counter, but silverware and condiments must evidently be fetched by the customer. They are not set at table, nor brought by staff along with the food. No mention of this is made by any staff at any stage. You are left looking at your food with no way of eating it.
Eventually you'll find some silverware on your own -- in a tucked away galley that at first glance would appear to be staff-only. A look around the restaurant shows that this IS the way things are done, as none of the other tables are stocked with condiments or silverware.

All told, this was the worst breakfast I have ever had food-wise, and the service could be a bit more thorough. Staff were pleasant, but the poorly executed cafeteria set up leaves a lot to be desired.
