Dundarave concession equals horrible burgers

In years past, I have enjoyed some of the best burgers at the stand, born and raised in dundarave the Vera's burger shack were rated best burgers on the shore. I decided to try it again last week after many years going without. The service was average at best but I don't care about the service if the burger is good. It was the most unflavorful, boring, inspiced, over priced burger I have ever had. I don't even think it was fully cooked. We ordered 6 burgers for the entire family and not one of us finished our burger.
Some of us had the organic patty others had standard party and all were sub par.
Don't expect to get anything decent from this stand anymore, unless the owners/chef start to put a little pride in their food.
Horrible burgers

Where's the Beef?

I miss Vera burger shack, repeat again somewhere in this statement. I decided I would give this reasonably new joint a try, craving a burger, having memories of pass burgers. Did I say, I miss Vera's Burgers?
The cost of my Organic Cheese burger was $7.50, and if having a small organic beef pattie is any indication of my sudden disappointment and cost of tiny, weenie, lack luster, burger.
Where's the beef, it was so thin, you couldn't call it a burger, and the bun looked like someone drove over it with a steam roller. Did I say I missed Vera Burger? The cost of burger was expensive, for what I didn't get, and could have gotten a better deal at Wendy's, Vera, Fatburger or even White spot. This didn't include fries, drink, only my organic burger.
Don't expect much from service, high school students were working the counter, and ambience is concession stand terrace.
Did I mention I wish Vera could have stayed, but its replacement is far from a good burger.
I doubt I will be back to try it anytime soon.

why don't the burgers taste like beef?
Food:

Terrible. It's not a mistake so many people say "Vera's is better." We actually did a side-by-side taste test and Vera's IS better. Which makes me terribly sad for anyone who still eats here.

Portions are too small. Food is flavourless. teas are pretty good, but then, its hard to make a bad tea

Service:

Decent. Not great. But they don't drop water on you and they try not to throw the food at you, so I consider that a good day. Kudos for even being there, guys.

Ambiance:

Well. If you're into that kind of thing, it's okay.

Sorry guys, you're just not good.

The Best Outdoor Eating

The Best Outdoor Eating

I was born in Vancouver and have been visiting its concession stands since I was young enough to blow a pinwheel and I have to say that this is not your average concession faire! I have lived in London, England, San Francisco, CA and have eaten up and down the West Coast of North America and I consider the delicious food and heartfelt service at Mr. Raymond Poirier’s concession to be better than some of the wonderful restaurants I have dined at in my lifetime, thus far, of 41 years. I love food!

The WILD salmon burger I had today for lunch was the best I’ve ever eaten and I’m picky! The salmon was moist, the sauce divine and the caramelized onions and pickle were the perfect accoutrement. The buns on all burgers are freshly baked on the premises. The ORGANIC beef burger I had last night (I can’t stay away from this place) was also delectable, with tender meat and real leafy green lettuce and tomato as toppings. My four year son ate every centimeter of his Premium Beef Hotdog and he’s picky too! The roobois teas are great – try the tea latte. If I hadn’t had seaweed in my fair from my evening swim and felt the hardness of picnic table under my legs, I would have thought I was sitting at a great restaurant in the city. I’m taking my husband (grew up in W.Van), son and mother-in-law back to the Dundarave Concession on Monday night so that I can show off my new find to my honey! So, I urge Mrs. Vittery, her supporters and all of you who are staying away because your burger doesn’t have a “V” – go and check out the Dundarave Concession stand before the word gets out and the line-ups are longer than the wait for the Lion Gate Bridge on a long weekend. Get over the change and don’t wait the sunsets and view are free!
